    Emission stickers are original, Air cleaners are not. Going off other build sheets I have. Green car has partial sheet missing that part ;gold car no build sheet. But every 70 and 71 build sheet I have lists air cleaner as CN. have a couple dozen of them. What do yours say?

    So I went with a CN Sticker . All the 70 and 71 build sheets list CN in the air cleaner box. But the Emission tags code is AU. Thanks; Lyle

    Anyone know where I can get a AU air cleaner decal that goes on the side of the air cleaner?

    Matching numbers on motor makes the list. Send the VIN and it will get added.

    Yeah that's pretty close. Is the vent tube to the valve cover available still? I found one air cleaner alone and one with the tube. With the tube is much higher. Or do you want to get rid of this one?

    Thanks; That looks close enough for his deal. It is not the original engine but just has a chrome open element one on it now. The lid is different but maybe any older lid will fit even 2 barrel

    Need a air cleaner assembly a 71 SS454, know they are tough but see a couple 73-74 out there and in pics they look alike . Does anyone know what is different or give me measurements of the snorkel. Guessing the base shoud be the same. length and width Thanks; Lyle

    Still surprising what you could do back in the day. On a 70 Chevelle Vinyl Roof added $94.80, Don't know how much they saved after buying top, pulling all the chrome installing top. Doubt if they painted the mlgs to match . Sounds like this one never got a top put on it.

    Few minor details but for the money you can correct them and still be in it right. If motor matches that is about as good as a flint car gets.đź‘Ť

    Alot of times you can see where they were, may have to sand it some if it is real rusty. Seen them in the middle and on the ends.

    Time to bring this back to the top. I am at 58 1970 SS Monte's and 38 1971 Monte SS's. on the list. No canada cars on the list . So if you want to have your car included please send my info and copy of buildsheet if you have and want. thanks to all; Lyle

    I believe they were added to help the assembly line worker know which shaft to grab. box 19 on the build sheet prop shaft ex:BY blue and Yellow usally two sometimes 3 3/4" stripes around the shaft.
