  1. Took care of the order this morning - Classic Industries! Now I will have to get the lock ring depressor tool or rent one from AutoZone or another store. Thanks,Matt
  2. Yes - thank you everyone! Joe and I spoke earlier today. I am also working on replacing the AC blower motor. Not a big deal, getting it done. Thanks to everyone. I will post some pictures of the Monte, please be patient with me as I sort through a few things. I also had to find the location on the frame of the second Vin since it is an out of State vehicle and California DMV requires a visual on the second Vin - found it on the frame, drivers side top, rear next to the fuel tank - I plan on posting some pictures of that as well. Gotta go take a shower, it's been a long one! Thanks,Matt
  3. 1972 Monte Carlo - stock steering wheel - plunger lock in steering wheel broken (white) - part or part number needed ( Alright, I have been chasing this little gremlin and I believe that I found the issue (even though I tested the Horn Relay and I was eventually able to make the old relay work, the relay itself was badly corroded, it took a while to get the relay to ground, due to the corrosion, and make the horns sound off, so I replaced the relay and cleaned the connections) Next I pulled off the steering wheel cover and found that the spring, plunger, and black lock (all intact) came right out of the hole or were not even in the hole. (See picture - this piece is in good shape) Next I looked into the steering wheel and found that the little lock sleeve (White color) was broken (see picture of steering wheel center and white lock sleeve) - I believe that I will need this part on order to lock in the horn wire spring connector (correct me if I am wrong) I was able to make the horns sound by wiggling the spring horn wire contact in the hole and all worked with that, however without being able to lock the horn wire spring connector in the hole then as soon as I put everything back together it will just pop/fall out again. Does anyone know where I can get the white sleeve lock for inside the steering wheel? (I couldn't seem to find one listed anywhere) Thanks,Matt 661-406-7516
  4. Ralph - those new one(s) look phenomenal! Thanks for the picture and update. Very clean. I wonder how well the DRL would look and work (just curious) - but again, your future looks pretty bright! Thanks,Matt
