Im getting ready to buy this corvette oil pan for my new bbc im building. My question to anyone using this oil pan is did you use the 4 oil pan rails that can buy bought for this oil pan. I just wondered if I needed these so it wouldnt be as apt to oil leak failure.

That is really good info. I could go either way as i have buckets and a console but was a bench seat car. I dont have a correct steering column yet. i have automatic and isd like a set that would work with floor shift auto or column auto. I guess it would be a good time to decide which way im going

Hey guys. I havnt been on here in forever but ive been working on my car quite a bit. Im building a 454 to replace my 402. I dont want to use any of my 402 parts to keep it complete. Im wondering what oil pan you guys have gone with. Dont want anything fancy but want it to fit and look fairly stock. I like windage tray but $$$$$$$ and i have one from a 454ho im gonna bolt to main bolts. Also im going to finally do headers and dont want trouble. Whats the best decent priced. Engine builder recomended shortys but I was thinking long tube would be better. He said shortys easier to keep from leaking with thick flanges but im sure long tube has good flanges also.

Dan why dont you come up and spray a little clear on mine and we will see what it looks like then u can help me cut off quarters and put on new. Then you can take home your new grill. ha ha

mines going to body shop in may. My wife graduates nursing school. Im going to barrow money for her graduation present which will be my paint job

was yours a 402/400/12 bolt? I like the midnight bronze with the dark saddle really well. I do like blues also but dont care as much for blue or black interior. My wife loves black cars and weve had black leather. Oh my it gets hot.

I know this isnt the best picture but all I got on computer. It was painted in 87 with cintari. I am currently workin on getting it repainted. I think it will really pop with base clear. It was sharp back in the day when I was in high school. Everybody would call it a black monte but you get closer and in sunlight the dark brown with gold small flakes would come out. I think it is a very unique factory color? I would go with it but I am a factory freak. I put everything back the way it was. Next time ill do no pin stripes.

Replacing a master cylinder and vacuum booster
DRDIRT11 replied to MCfan's topic in Brakes and Suspension Tech
Great info. I am actually doing mine now. Im rebuilding master cylinder but un decided on new booster. As far as I know mine works fine but when I get done that will prolly change. -
My car is a 72 midnight bronze. In high school everybody would say that black monte carlo so I guess it looks black but in sunlight it darkblackish brown with gold metallic. I like it and its origional.
