Shouldn't be any welds press fit only. Sam is right, if you don't have a press it won't happen without spilling some DNA. I've got a press and it was still a pain, but doable.
all his oil is coming from the oil galley that supplies oil to the hyd lifters, at the end of those galleys is a plug. i like to think of those plugs as a faucet. the more you open that faucet the less oil will be pumped up to the rockers through the push rods from the lifters. least path of resistance
now keep in mind those lifters need to rotate in order to fill with oil and supply lube through the push rods
I drilled mine at .030 when i rebuilt the 402 1/16 seems to large. I would change them its not just 1/16 its a total of 1/8. That's a big hole for just lubing the timing chain
Dan I've got one I bought off another member about 2 months ago, it was a holly rebuild, I think I paid 125 for it. Same would apply, he said it was a 800 I'm heading to quincy sat for a family reunion.
a buddy has 2 diff rear ends. one is a 8.5 and the other a 8.2
my question is are the carriers the same or diff.
can you take the carrier out of one and change to the other?
