Was that Geritol and Metamucel pizza they were having?
  4. You are right again Ert. the only one I ever fooled with was behind the carb.
  5. The TH 400 should have a switch on the carb that is tripped when you nail the throttle. A wire harness runs from that switch to a plug on the side of the transmission and that kicks the tranny into a lower gear. If you can post picks maybe someone can help figure out your problem. Good Luck!
  6. When Robyn and I were both out of work a couple of years ago He was always here with the word of encouragement or always a fart joke,ALWAYS a fart joke! I got so sick of those dancing bananas greeting me each morning when I logged on I sure wish he was greeting us with those today R.I.P. Brother Robyn!
  7. So sad to hear this. Robyn was always keeping everyones spirits up when they were down. His family is in our prayers. I hope he finds another "Old Yellar" in heaven
  8. More prayers coming your way Robyn. Hang in there!
  9. Thoughts and prayers going out to Robyn and family. Get well quick Bird!!!
  10. Are those the glasspacks or the Cherry Bomb turbos? My step-sister is over purchasing at Maremont/Cherry Bomb and I'm thinking about using her discount to get my exhaust.
  11. I think i can get the tranny for $300 to $400. I have not priced the controller and harness.I think it will still be cheaper than the GV unit.
  12. Can anyone tell me which tranny they put in these trucks? I can get one pretty cheap at the local boneyard and was thinking about going this route instead of the 400 and gear vendors unit. I like the tranny and 3:70 gears in my 99 pickup and thought this might work behind the 454. Of course I would have to buy a controller and harness.
  13. That's the way it should be! Cut up a Chevelle to save a Monte!
  14. I haven't yet Jake. It has ran all afternoon since I raised the front with a book. I think it needed more air. When I had it mounted in the truck my stand had cooling fans to keep it cool. I've got so much on my plate this week i never thought about cooling untill Allan mentioned it.
  15. i put a book under it and told the kids to wear it out.2 hours of gaming and no probs. guess i will look for a cooler after Christmas
  16. Acer laptop with 17 inch screen. Model is aspire 7720-6569 I'm leaning to the heat issue myself. When I had it mounted in the truck my stand had twin cooling fans that blew under the laptop. i propped it up a few minutes ago and i'm turning the little bugger loose on it again.
  17. i thought that also. i logged him into a totally new site this morning.Twenty minutes later it shut down.My wife and use it all day with no problems
  18. The past week or so my computer has been shutting down when my son is on his gaming sites. He not a big time gamer at six but does go to the nick site and gamefudge. It shuts down and will not reboot to windows unless it sits for a while. I have updated all my security software and did full scans on everything. Could it just be overloading the system when he is gaming? Computer is less than a year old. Any ideas? System specs Intel dual core processor 1.66 GHZ 667 MHZ FSB 2MB L2 cache 358 MB mobile INTEL Graphic media 2gb DDR2
  19. The soda blasting does a great job and doesn't warp or erode the panels. After useing a soda blaster you will need to clean the part with a vinegar/water mixture before paint. the soda leaves a residue that will keep the primer/paint from sticking.
