  1. Need some advise on an electrical problem I found when returning from Car Show past Week End. Got ready to leave Event for Home & when I started Monte and turned on Parking Lights, BOTH Left Right Turn Signal indicators illuminated! Stymied me as prior, no indication for a problem & had done nothing to Car prior to this anomaly. Was daylight so turned off Parking Lights drove home & parked in garage. I then did some further investigation and here is what I discovered as I went thru each of the Dash modes. 1) With Key in Ignition, Parking Lights on BOTH Turn Signal Indicators light up when pulling Light Switch to Parking Lite mode (Also same with Headlight Switch on). After checking each variable, ALL lights performed as expected less the Turn Signal Indicator lights. When moving turn signal lever to left, while signal blinks on the left, the Indicator says it's blinking on the R/H side & visa versa. Every other combination of Electrical operates normally less Turn Signal Indicator Lights. So, while just repeating repetition, somewhere along the way, those Turn Signal Indicator Dash Lights started performing normally again? I did nothing other than performing on/off checks on those affected knobs, levers, switches. Drove Home & put in Garage without any other malfunction(s). I'm at a lose! I don't believe I missed anything during this investigation. I applied every variable I am aware of but is confined to Turn Signal Instrument lights. It was suspected to be a Ground Issue but unless it fails again, unsure what it might be causing the Problem. I thought Light Switch but that was ruled out. Any Ideas? Remember, other than Turn Signal Dash Illumination, everything worked as expected and right now, everything works as expected again! Doug
  2. Sorry, I have made the Deal today. But my old one will be available at some point if still in need in the future. Doug
  3. That's what I thought Aaron but couldn't remember it being a Vinyl Top car. I remember the car & Trailer ended up selling for a GREAT price that Car showed up I believe at the Meet in Spokane with a High Reselling price attached to just the car. Doug
  4. Has the 1st Gen Radiator Panel, A Club Member? 1970 MONTE CARLO Doug
  5. Looks like a GREAT Week End for a Car Show Slash Get Together! Sorry I missed this one but recent eye surgery kept me at Bay. Hope it goes well for All & can do again another time. My eyes are healing nicely and can see very well again Daytime & haven't tried Night yet but confident of it as well. Getting the Car back in order so that at least I may do some Local Shows. Enjoy the Company, the Week End and expect All to Trophy Out with those Beautiful Montes. Keep the Pic's coming so that I can Envy what I am missing. Envious in Portland, Oregon Doug
  6. Newest Update at REV. 27 with (2) added Customs, Both are Club Members. If in Data Base, review your info to confirm as correct or advise any changes. I missed a request to have their Car (#73) jsd454 in Data Base included earlier and now one of the (2) vehicles added with DRETS Car (#72) recent purchase the other. My memory isn't what it used to be & on occasion I may need a assist. Thanx to ALL in helping me accumulate this Data. (Darn Pesky Banana's)! Upon review, please advise any erroneous Information of your/any irregularities & keeping in mind, any Sightings you come across ie; Car Show Venues attended a good example where Documentation (VIN#) can be secured for a start with Owner contact if available. Getting harder & harder finding new blood for the Data Base but certain there are more out there! I have tried to make that info as complete as practical to better reflect that vehicles DNA which in turn, helps keep me honest (mostly). Again Thanx to ALL & will see you next update............ 7. Hey Dennis, having trouble attempting to view your Build Sheet for VIN #'s. Need this to verify and identify not a duplicate. Just couldn't Edit current Pic to give me an accurate description of those numbers. Appreciate the info..... Doug
  8. This will certainly get me started Dennis. Will advise if anything else needed & noticed a 454 CI Car? Thanx for bringing it to my attention & reflected on next update. Any questions/concerns about the information documented on Data Base, please advise. Enjoy your purchase and looking forward to pic's when you have them available. Regards, Doug
  9. Okay, Wheel Well Trim. Now I got it. I had damaged mine on the passenger front & eventually a NOS single was offered on eBay. If not an immediate need & NOS is what your after, keep your eye on eBAY. I see them in sets & doubles on occasion. Of course, price will be key! If I come across any, will let you know. Doug
  10. Sorry, misread your Post. Your looking for behind front wheel well lower trim then? If so, I saw couple on eBAY I think that were NOS and expensive as I remember. Doug
  11. Here is a single NOS piece on Facebook Market Place, if that helps at all. NOS Front Fender Side Marker Molding Doug
  12. I read it on an Advertisement OPGI had offered. I said ABS, but upon review, the AD simply said Plastic. I had not seen anything that indicated Metal. I remember the cost was $545.00 or so & don't see where metal could be made so cheaply. I haven't seen one up close and no idea what type of quality it would be or if one could be ordered. Doug
  13. Saw this earlier today. Not much info and unsure where they got it. 70-72 SS HOOD Doug
  14. Chrome Thermostat Housings are notorious for leaking. I had one, several attempts then tried surfacing the flange thinking it was uneven but made no difference. I was stumped and went with an OEM. Doug
  15. I think we need to start a Contest Board to see just which one Aaron drives to the WM. Decisions, decisions, decisions... Doug

  17. Missed that & will update at my end & next update will reflect Rear Defogger. Thanx for keeping me honest..... Doug
  18. Okay, lets try this again! Doug 1972 MONTE CRLO CUSTOM NUMBERS REV. 26.0.JPG.xls
  19. Based on the pictures provided, I would call that a repaint with Blue VIN Tag missing from drivers door. Also the Map Light wire is cut, radio defiantly aftermarket,. Driver Sport Mirror? & Under Hood Light missing? part of the Custom Package. I would need a Build Sheet or look behind the Custom Badges to see how they are affixed. Yet a very nice looking car. Note: I copied Ad for VIN # to check against my Data Base. If not there already, will add & note Not Confirmed unless proven by Documentation and/or Construction. Anyone can confirm, I would appreciate it. Doug
  20. Saw these on Craigslist if anyone's interested. They look in very good shape for a reasonable price. LOWER MOLDINGS Doug
  21. I bought a set of Front/Rear NOS some years ago and remember approx. between the Front/Rear I paid pretty close to $400.00. Skeptical based on price at the time but now glad I have them if needed. Doug
  22. I remember browsing over maintenance receipts that came with the car when I purchased it and I believe the Engine, while still original (matching Serial Numbers), may have had an overhaul around 50,000 miles. While I saw no evidence of orange paint on engine block, can't rule it out. Tried posting a pic of engine bay but not letting me at the moment. Doug
  23. My 72 Custom came out of Van Nuys with Blue painted 350 CI block and was factory installed, original to the car. Probably not helping clearing up any confusion. Doug
  24. My understanding that was not a requirement until 72 and not certain, but Calif. only? Doug
