After the monsoon in Carlisle I found the passenger side carpet was damp.
I have the inner fender out and there are two smaller gaps in the seam sealer and the fan had little sealant around it.
Also, I didn’t drive the car so the rain entered while the car was sitting still.
Any known leak areas I should be looking at?
Thanks
The moog 5253's state 1" and above and that is what is installed on the car now since late May when I painted the bar currently on the car. If they truly are 1" and above then I may be able to reuse them since they've only been on the car for a few weeks.
Well said all. Great time, great people, and, as Rob says, the beautiful cars are a bonus. I'm looking forward to the Syracuse mini-meet in a few weeks and then being back in Carlisle next year.
Since the existing a6 does not have the switch for super heat, looks like I can go with the HP version. Thanks Joe and Larry for the help, much appreciated.
😉
I spoke to sales at Old Air. I asked them which I compressor I would need for a stock AC car, the super heat or high pressure versions, and the guy said I could use either one.
Converting from r12 to r134. I've replaced the lines, replaced the o-rings, flushed the system, replaced the POA and expansion valves along with the drier. The car car still has the a6 compressor which will need to be drained of oil. Can/should I stay with the compressor or is there a better solution? I do want to keep it fairly stock looking under the hood. thanks
thanks all. In the grand scheme of things, I know there are worse problems to have. Nothing some touch up paint and a cold beer can't make better! I'll have it fixed in the fall when the season is over.
