  1. After being disappointed in AC Delco and RedTop, I started buying batteries at Advance Autoparts and keep them on a Battery Tender.
  2. The moog 5253's state 1" and above and that is what is installed on the car now since late May when I painted the bar currently on the car. If they truly are 1" and above then I may be able to reuse them since they've only been on the car for a few weeks.
  3. Would anyone happen to have a part number for a bushing that definitely fits this sway bar with stock brackets.
  4. Great friends, hotel, restaurants, laughs, ice cream, and 7-8000 cars!! You won't be disappointed.
  5. Well said all. Great time, great people, and, as Rob says, the beautiful cars are a bonus. I'm looking forward to the Syracuse mini-meet in a few weeks and then being back in Carlisle next year.
  6. This car was recently sold at Mecum Kissimmee for $36,300 https://www.mecum.com/lots/536663/1970-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/
  7. The more we order, the less likely we will need them.
  8. Sorry to hear that Steve, hope your back heals up and we see you in Syracuse.
  9. Good to know. Part is on the way.
  10. Since the existing a6 does not have the switch for super heat, looks like I can go with the HP version. Thanks Joe and Larry for the help, much appreciated.
  11. 😉 I spoke to sales at Old Air. I asked them which I compressor I would need for a stock AC car, the super heat or high pressure versions, and the guy said I could use either one.
  12. Thanks Joe. I was looking at that compressor from Old AIr Products earlier, that's where I bought the other parts.
  13. Converting from r12 to r134. I've replaced the lines, replaced the o-rings, flushed the system, replaced the POA and expansion valves along with the drier. The car car still has the a6 compressor which will need to be drained of oil. Can/should I stay with the compressor or is there a better solution? I do want to keep it fairly stock looking under the hood. thanks
  14. Congrats on the purchase, best of luck with it!
  15. thanks all. In the grand scheme of things, I know there are worse problems to have. Nothing some touch up paint and a cold beer can't make better! I'll have it fixed in the fall when the season is over.
  16. yeah, must be some sort of mistake.
  17. I spent the day yesterday detailing the car for the season. As I was wiping down the door and around the mirror, the mirror pops out of the bracket and bounces off the door on its way to the floor with a big chip of paint right behind it.
  18. I have a Spectre GM34F and it leaks around the filler neck. Before I buy another, does anyone have a recommendation for a 70 tank, (no EEC, no vents)?
  19. Mine arrived, #299, (must have slept in that day)
  20. Piece on the door, rocker can stay on.
