  1. I think those may be the wrong rear springs. The Moog part number I used was Moog 5501. Here's an old thread on it.... http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7313-rear-springs-again/&do=findComment&comment=88067
  2. Hi Joe, where will you be getting them from?
  3. Here's a thread from a while back on the subject. http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12027-body-mount-bolts/?hl=%2Bbody+%2Bmounts
  4. All the best in a speedy and full recovery Dave.
  5. The fresh cab smells nice too.....but dryer sheets are more economical.
  6. I've stored mine in my buddy's barn for 3 winters without any issues at all. I use moth balls but yes they tend to leave an odour behind until you air out the interior. I've also heard that bounce sheets work too. I also use this product that has been used by Farmers for many years in their tractors etc.... https://www.google.ca/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=57UuVpCzM-bE8gebgIHAAg&gws_rd=ssl#q=Fresh+Cab
  7. Duplicolor trunk paint is what I used and I've had 0 issues. Here's a good kit you can purchase from OPGI. https://www.opgi.com/monte-carlo/1971/trunk-panels-accessories/trunk-mats-boards/520902/
  8. I worked on reorganizing my garage most of the day today. I made room to store the Monte in the far bay so I don't have to store it in my buddy's barn. Next weekend I will winterize it and cover it for the winter. I also made room for my wife's Saturn in the middle garage bay. The 3rd bay is just stuff, the lawn tractor with snow blower and where the kids enter and exit in the winter. It was a lot of work and I'm a hurtin' unit and ready for bed soon.
  9. Took the old girl for a nice long drive yesterday. I'll be prepping her for a long winter nap soon.
  10. Anyone have a photo of the correct 71 BB throttle cable bracket and a photo showing the correct install of it? Thanks, Larry
  11. I would give that a sanding to get it as smooth as possible and shoot it with rattle can aqua/black speckle paint. I gave mine several coats letting it dry to the touch between coats. It has held up nicely for 4 years so far.
  12. Mine has a short tail and is the original TH400.
  13. Yes it is....and even better in northern Ontario. Some call them Pickerel up here and some call them Walleye.
  14. I would just scuff that and shoot it with rattle can speckle trunk paint for the factory done look.
  15. Hi Dave....I asked the same question back in 2012 before pulling my cluster. Here's the thread to check out.... http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8074-pulling-cluster-assistance-needed/?hl=%2Bcluster+%2Bremoval&do=findComment&comment=96372 Just take your time and be gentle with stuff. The plastic can be pretty brittle after 40 years.
  16. By the time I get around to doing mine, I'll have forgotten where I put all the parts.
  17. OK...I wasn't aware of that Sam....but I've only been around for a few years. I will always be learning in this hobby.
