  1. Sounds like a Manifold leaking at head on Driverside
  2. You dont have headers you have exhaust manifolds. Its been so long since I have seen them.It could be 2 or 3 bolts off the manifold. The exhuast pipe will have a flange that goes over those bolts and there should be a round cork gasket called a donut gasket in between the 2 pieces.
  3. Look for blacks streaks that are caused by the leak. You should be able to see where its leaking. You also might be able to take a long screw driver and stick it where the manifolds touch at the heads and stick your ear on the other end to pick the sound up better.Well help you determine the where the leak is
  4. IMO find a locall place the does drove shafts.I use a place called C&U driveshafts and paid 375 for mine.No need to go long distance when you more than likely have a place close that can do it.Quick search of Mineapolis showed a places.Even goto a machine shop or speed shop and ask them if there is anyone in town that makes driveshafts. http://www.provenforce.com/ Adl Driveshaft Services 2626 University Ave Ne Minneapolis,MN55418-2706 (map) (612) 789-3553
  5. I would say once you get into the 11's it wouldnt be a bad Idea to start looking into it..... Like andy said it is cheap insurance

  11. Capri and Greg did a great Job wanted to talk to her today but she was on the phone .... Great turn out and you all have some very beautiful cars.Got to talk to a few of you guys today and enjoyed the talks.Wish I could of made it over some on Saturday(well I did walk through) but didnt take time too chat as I was trying to find some plug wires for my car so didnt stick around long.Very impressed to say the least
  12. I must admit that those were some of the Nicest Montes I have seen in some time.My hats off too all of you who were there.I have alot of work to do over the winter because you all have set the bar very high.Kudos too all of you and great turn out..I will post some pics later
  13. Yea Like robert said Nova uses leaf springs where the Monte has coil springs. You would have to weld all the mounting hardware to the housing so more of a waste than anything
  14. Here is what I would do is set everything to 0 so nothing changes set timimng to 38-40* and seee what happens. As far as Vacuum leaks I used 2 brand new gaskets between carb and NOS plate and NO plate ti intake and still had a vacumm leak as it didnt seal.... so dont rule that out unless you pull carb and check it.I dont think 34 degress is enough timing at all IMO
  15. then dont use a rear loop or just install the upper portion leave the bottom off that way it stops the drove shaft from hitting floor but allows drive shaft to fall out
  16. What is intial timing set at?What is total timing?
  17. You need the loop up fron to catch the shaft if it breaks a front u-joint.
  18. No you dont pull the bushing back.Leave the bushing be.You have a leaking seal
  19. I would venture to say if it was dripping oil then it has to be either the convertor seal or the pump seal thats leaking. If it was the convertor leaking or cracked it would be throwing the oil down in a line pattern
  20. WOW I am saddened to hear about this ... been busy the last week or so and just seen this My condolences to the Lance Family and like others I never meet robyn but he was always someone with vast knowledge and I talked with him quite a few times in chats... He will be missed.
  21. The 200r4 is a great tranny and will be just fine. They come in the Grand Nationals and I am sure they can handle a street 402 with no issues.
