AndyBill402
Are the common paper based fuel filters really compatible with E-10, the ethanol gas we all have to use now? An example of a paper fuel filter would be the Purolator F2111. It has a plastic housing and it's translucent so one can see when it's dirty. cny first gen 71
I use the stock paper filter in the carb but i havent used ethanol fuel in 3 years. I would avoid using a filter with a plastic housing. I have since my 65 Plymouth went up in flames due to a punctured filter housing which fed the fire. stangeba
I don't like the plastic (lawn mower) fuel filters either. I still have the stock set up Quadrajet with paper filter. I should change that some day, it's been years. Bruce
