willie
Hello everyone, I am starting to do the window brackets and motors. When I was cleaning the motors, I remembered someone said to clean all the old and caked up 40 year old grease out. What grease do I use to put back in after cleaning that stuff out? White grease, or something with alittle more body??
Sam (Bones)
white grease would be my choice
MCfan
I used wheel bearing grease when I rebuilt mine. It is on the heavy side, but it sticks like snot so you never have to worry that the gear teeth will run dry. Considering the application, there are probably a range of greases that will work well and last for years.
