AUTO BODY REPAIR - Rhino Bedliners

I need to get some kind of bed liner for my new pick up. Has anyone used the rhino spray on liner? Or is the drop in liners just as good. I have had the drop in and it always buckles in the heat of summer. Plus I don’t like water getting under it any ideas would be helpful

I know many people who use the Rhino liner and they are very happy with it, and would not go back to a plastic liner. I have been thinking of getting that myself, it is not expensive, and is easy to do i am told.

With plastic liners I know many with those also and are happy. I do know 2 people who have had them crack severely in thew winter however, plus you are right water canget under them which is not good.

I know a couple of people also that have gone with the spray in liners, they really like them. I think they are the best choice for the long run, the only disadvantage is, IF you would ever get in a accident and have to redo part of it, it will be an added cost in removal and replacement. Trying to get the stuff off to do any welding or anything would be a major hassle, but it's better than having it rust.

I have Rhino liner 2 yrs in june & would never do without it, I never had any trouble of any kind. My insurance company said if in an accident, damage they would cover the cost to repair or replace. As far as welding etc you can just cut it out were you need too, It's tough but can be done. Later Bob

I have never used the Rhino-liner myself but if I still had my Silverado, I would like to have replaced the plastic liner with the Rhino-liner. The only down fall I have heard of Rhino-liners is the weight factor they add to your truck. If you are not worried about your 1/4 mile times in your truck, this should not be an issue. You will have to let us know how things turn out with your new liner.

Have had a similar product for 8 years in bed of '79 ElCamino. Well worth the money. Since the price has about doubled, I'll be using a self applied brand on my '59 El Camino.

datadave49, WalMart was where I was going to buy it. Mmmmmmm, bound to be other sources. Search the web. Ask 1st geners via post in FGMCC General Forum. Probably ad in Hemmings or like pubs. Like your sigphoto. Noth'n looks as great as a 1st Gen under construction. Ed

Dave, So the bedliner was available at WalMart? Please check again on product name.

Your first sigphoto shows a spilt left rear outer wheel well. Was this a Chevelle part and you modified it to fit? Thanks, Ed

Hey Hey

Yes that's what I did the Chevelle is a inch or two longer then the Monte also it's larger front to back so I cut some of that off it's still out a little to far but when the quaters are on you will not see that unless you go under the car
