1970mcss
I have just purchased a 1970 SS, I have purchased the compressor but I am looking for the front and rear mounting brackets. Does anyone know of anyone that is reproducing them? Please let me know if. You have any info. Thanks Paul
overdrive
Paul, welcome to the site, and congratulations on your purchase. I make the brackets to look as close to original as I can. I don't know of anyone else at this time that makes them out of sheet metal, like the factory did. I have several guys needing a set, and I've gotten started on them, but I have little time right now, with overtime at work and a daughter with health issues. I can provide the brackets, but not real soon. The first pic shows my original pair next to the ones I make. We'd love to see pics of your car sometime. You'll like this site and club. There are alot of good people here that enjoy helping each other out. Dan
1970mcss
Dan, I'm sorry to hear that you have a family member with health issues. I'm very excited to get to work on my new Monte. I have been in search for an SS for 25-30 years. Now that the kids are grow and out of the house I can focus on the car. I would like to get a pair of brackets made when you can get to them. Let me know when you have a pair and the cost. Do you make any other parts? Thanks Paul

overdrive
Bob, thanks for the kind words.Paul, I also make the air inlet filter for the compressor, the linkage to connect the air control valve to the upper control arm, the arm to connect the linkage to the control valve, and the bracket to mount the control valve. I've made the shock protectors, but they're not hardly worth it, since the El Caminos also used them and they seem to be not too hard to find. The control valves are still available from the same manufacturer that originally made them.Dan
