201fireman
Does anyone make a smaller diameter steering shaft for our cars to allow for clearance for headers?
dejh22
Is shaft rubbing on one of the tubes? What we have done is mark the spot where it rubs. Then take a 1" pipe or maybe 1 1/4" pipe and use the pipe to make a "dent" in the tube by hitting the pipe with a big hammer. This is a two person job. The pipe will make a cleaner look then beating the tube with a hammer. You will need the header off the engine. If you would like I might be able to get a pic. 201fireman
Ok, I was thinking about this but wasn't sure if that was the right answer but if that is the norm, I can do that. Thanks!
