1970 Fuse Box

I am having hard time finding the short length AGC 3A fuse for Inst. LMPS ( interior instrument cluster). Mine blowed when I was washing the car, taking out power to outlet plug/ cigaret lighter I use to plug in GPS Speedometer, phone charged etc…

There are Christmas’s light fuses that are short but not the same diameter. Listed as either 120V/250V 3A slow or fast blow. Would those substitute?

Would someone have a source of these fuses, main auto parts stores 0(Zone, Adv, O’R*) stopped stocking these?

thanks in advance,

Look for either 'AGA 3'  or 'SFE-4' fuses. Those are the correct dimension you're looking for. The AGC you mentioned will come back as a full size fuse in searches.

SFE doesn't come in a size smaller than 4, however, the owners manuals I have for 71 & 72 show the fuse rated at 4 amps for that location (it should also be on the fuse block itself, to the left of the fuse - "4A"). Perhaps a 70 is different, that I don't know off hand.

Amazon, NAPA will have the SFE. If you happen to have an under hood lamp with the inline fuse holder, the SFE-4 is the correct fuse for that application as well.

The fuse pictured in front of the boxes came from an old harness out of my 72.
