Arizona Monte
If you need measurements for drivshaft length I have one for a 350/350 car, out and can get them for you. That way you would know if lenght is possibly part of your problem
HarrisQ
I just had a new drive shaft built for my 72 that has a 402 BB and a TH350 and it is 56 1/2 inches from center to center.
buster
Had the same problem years ago on a Monte i bought. After putting a drive-shaft in out of a different Monte the problem still wasn't cured (to short). After looking closer I found someone had replaced the motor mounts with the later 70's /80's style and hadn't pushed the motor back far enough before welding (YAH WELDING) the mounts to the cross-member. Since the 327 was discontinued in 1969 and Monte's wern't available with them, we no the motor has been changed in your car so it is possible the mounts may have been moved or replaced. Just a possible cause in case the driveshaft length is correct of-course terry

kc8oye
Techniclly.. there are 4 4x4, short, medium and long. 4x4 is basicly just a plate bolted to the back of the trans as the speedo unit is in the transfer case.
