The 2024 Western Meet will be in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. The 3-day meet will include cruises, a car show as well as our own club awards and door prizes. The event we are attending is the Endless Summer Show n Shine which is held in the park in downtown Summerland. The Okanagan Valley is a scenic area with large lakes, beaches, wineries and orchards. Roughly 25 FGMCC members will be attending this meet from several states and provinces. We will update the web site and message forum periodically as information comes available. If you have any questions regarding this meet, please contact Aaron at dodsyaaron@gmail.com or 250-462-8444.

Just to let everyone know I have secured all 26 rooms at a hotel in Summerland for the meet but will not know the rates until the fall. You can expect roughly $170 per night (Canadian dollars) and up depending on the room type you get. Once I have the rates I will post the hotel information for booking. The dates will be Sep 12th, 2024 and leaving the 16th (4 nights). If someone wishes to arrive a day or two early to take in some of the scenery they can do so. There's plenty to see and do here (hiking, wineries, beaches, steam train ride, zip lining, etc). I live in Summerland and plan to take that whole week off so I will be available. The hotel is walking distance to the Saturday car show and downtown shops. There's a lot of amenities nearby (restaurants, fast food, grocery store, gas stations, liquor store, etc) and parking for trucks/trailers.

The last meet here in 2019 we filled every room of this hotel and hope to do so again.

I've been discussing the meet with the event organizers and have a great spot in the park picked out for our group. We'll have some nice shade for the day.
