Chevyss
I'd like to get information on a line lock. Never used one, but guess they use them at the track for your burn outs. What do you think would be the best one for the Monte??
dbreese
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-760000/# http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3904/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUU-2483880/ Hi Royce, This it what I have on my car. Really a straight forward install. I have a quick disconnect weather pac connector under the dash if I want to take the button/cord off and store it in the glove box. I fabricated a mount from a metal rubber insulated hose/wire clamp ( 5/8" IIRC, found it at Lowes) and have the switch monted through a piece of 1/2" aluminum to the clamp and the clamp attached to the shifter bar ( left side). I bent the aluminum to angle that makes it easy to get to. I can shoot somes pic's if ya need them. David
Chevyss
Thanks David. Pictures are always good. Not in a big hurry since racing season is over, but you know theres always that burnout to show off for the towns people. Thanks again

Chevyss
I'll have to figure out where to mount the switch. Column shift makes a little difficult. Any suggestions??
AL M
If its the sumitt or hurst brand attach the button with double sided tape on the left side of the shifter so your thumb has easy access...works for me!

Royce, if you're going to convert to buckets this winter then put in a B&M or Hurst floor shifter. You can then get a knob with a built in button. Some guys use a straight rachet but I got one that can run ratchet or standard detent for casual driving. The one I have has a reverse lockout and came with both neutral safety and backup light switches. Once I got the hang of it it works fine...Davey
