TommyP
I was out trying out my nitrous tonight and the temperature here is only in the upper 40's I have a pressure gauge on the bottle and the pressure was only a little over 600psi. I know that optimum pressure should be 900psi.Lower bottle pressures cause the system to run rich, too much gas and not enough nitrous. You can get a electric wrap that heats up the bottle and raises the pressure. The question that I have is as the bottle gets empty can you still get 900psi by warming it up? kc8oye
yep... it's not uncommong to see guys warming their bottles with propane torches. (I usually stay well away when that's going on tho)
71monteme
i use an old heating pad wrap around the bottle between rounds. also i bring 2-3 bottles, i change them after every run to keep the same pressure- consistency. and yes i've seen guys heat the bottle with a torch. not a good idea. MADMAC
It usually doesn't get that cold down here during drag season but, you can also run an "electric blanket" or hot water bottles. I know, I know... thats a poor mans bottle warmer, but some of those bottle heaters cost some bucks!
