72 LS5
Can anybody recommend a leak free carb to manifold gasket for a Holley? I always get that nasty gas stain oozing from under the carb.
Leghome
I had that problem with the holly that came on my car. I checked out the base of the carb and one corner was bent leaking gas and sucking air.
CrazyDavey
sounds like you may have a warped base Mike...have you tried to double them up?
72 LS5
I thought to double them up. Â This 25 year old swap meet Holley 850 sure looked laser-straight when I put it on....after a few beers....in the dark....with one eye open... 72 LS5
But seriously, I saw Mr Gasket has a thicker rubber "vibration isolator gasket" that may be worth a try. My base plate may not be laser-straight, but judging from all the leakage I see at car shows, I'm not the only one oozing fluids .

Andy's Auto
Mikey, I have a new AED 850 baseplate at the shop. Gimme a call.
Mike 57
I wonder if your leak is actually coming from the throttle shafts? The base gasket leakage would cause more vacuum idle issues than raw fuel.
