My green car is a July 70 car it DOES NOT HAVE A HALO. My white car is an APRIL 70 car it Came with a Halo, but I done away with the vinyl top.\ Do not know exactly how many came with halos, but how many 70s that was ordered with vinyls are in on the Tech Page. Rob Peters Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 In truth, when the individual plant stopped using the Full Halo depended upon when they ran out of the trim pieces and started tooling up for the new 71 models. I feel to say that the full halo roof was used on the early 70's is kind of misleading. The two tone painted cars used the vinyl roof trim to separate the colors. My car is a late 70 Monte with the two tone paint and it has the full halo trim. It was built in late June or early July in the Baltimore Plant.
