  1. Thanks for that post, Daryl... I didn't know that was how you picked a Carb.
  2. It... really does seem a bit smaller... must be the color. Is blue slimming? >.> <.<
  3. I'm interested too, but it's going to be a bit before I can afford a new suspension.
  4. Bought the last few things I need to get her going again, and some paint to make the engine look pretty when it's all back together.
  5. Go with Cooper Cobras... They're about 60 bucks cheaper per tire than the BFGs, and they ride great on mine. They seem to wear pretty evenly too, considering I have an open dif and like to spin them occasionally... I rotate them pretty regularly though, just because it's quick and I can do it when we're slow at work.
  6. Ordered flexplate and piston rings! And I'm praying to anyone listening that the starter off the 350 works with the 400 because it was new this spring >.<
  7. Was a fun time Rock, and a very nice car! Few more weeks and I should have mine right there along with ya! Hopefully work'll be nice and let me out at a decent time so I can join you Wednesday.
  8. I think you're in the wrong place, if you're trying to quit... try one of the Ford forums, I betcha their cars'll make you quit automobiles for life!
  9. Highlight the entire link, because the brackets are making the forum think it's done with the address.
  10. Pretty sure it flows from the bottom... its why you're still able to get coolant flow when its low. Corse i could b wrong, but thats my guess.
  11. That the one off Highway 65? Let me know when you're planning on going and I'll find a way to swing by after work. Might be handy knowing someone I can beg for help from =P
  12. Just north of Minneapolis, in Circle Pines. Working on the car as money rolls in, but it seems like everytime i fix a problem, 2 more crop up.
  13. You're lucky, Rock! Mine decided to break on me at the start of the season, so might miss it this year.
  14. Pulled the crank and pistons out of the 400, and it's looking like taking a hone after it should clean everything right up! Downside, the flexplate is bent, but I guess you can't have everything...
  15. Those would be way small for a Monte Carlo... stock size was 215/70R15 or thereabouts. I'm running 255/60R15s.
  16. Adults only? Nah, need one that says "If your name isn't _________, don't even think about touching it." =P
  17. Checked a few machine shops for prices on boring and cleaning up the engine blocks.
  18. I'd probably toss my name in the hat, if I didn't need to get a block machined and new pistons for it... Don't have to worry about safety if the car don't move on it's own, am I right?
  19. Think Darren was being a smart alec because he drives a convertible =P
  20. Weight on the outside is normally what we do to get the best balance, but the other option is putting a tape weight in the barrel of the wheel. Never notice it, and it doesnt damage the finish.
  21. Not entirely sure, as I haven't tried, but with how mine sits I'll probably have to roll them to get 275s on, let alone 295s. Or just fix my suspension... Eh, maybe later.
  22. Not a problem. Take care in the front, go too wide and the tire will rub when you steer. I'm running 255/60R15 on all four corners at the moment, but going to 275's out back when I get the powertrain back together.
  23. Just guessing, as it's very hard to tell without the car in front of you to measure, but as it doesn't appear to have too much done to the lip of the fender, 15x8 is my guess. Unless you plan on putting something excessively wide, 15x8 is all you'll really need. Can put bigger than 275/60 R15s on them safely, but I don't have the information in front of me to be 100% sure on the max size an 8 inch wide wheel will take..
  24. Ordered up a complete gasket kit for the 400 last night, as well as a stamping kit and new spark plugs. Just waiting on delivery of more money in my pocket before I start tearing into it, just so I have a way to fix what I find
