  1. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Step 1. Highlight desired text. Step 2. Right click and select copy Step 3. Right click on response area (where I am typing now), this is where it goes wrong, the paste option does not show to click on.
  2. Thank Aaron, I wish I had looked at mine when I had originally took them off, because of the one oddball wire I just pitched them. I did contact Summit through live chat today and was told that the 508N wires had the orange boot on them. I believe that the guy just looked at the pic on their site. I have seen the same wires listed using a pic with black boots on Amazon. I see that The Parts Place sells date coded ones. Anyone here ever buy them ?
  3. Tomorrow I am going to call Summit they have 508N wires in stock for $26.99 and ask them to check boot color before I order them. I picked up the 9508N wires at O'Rielly's they could not get the 508N wires unless it was a prepay non refundable order. All of the pics that I see of either set looks the same as though it is a generic photo both show orange boots.
  4. Tonawana sticker, when I got my car Bob (previous owner) gave me some stickers that he had purchased after getting a little over zealous with his new power washer 400 sticker for the air cleaner and the Tona sticker for the valve cover. the residue for both was still in place so i used it as a guide. Also my car does not have the sensor on the passenger side of the engine or the same bracket as in Rob's pic. It's a no gage car with a 350 trans that has the TSC sensor on the side of the trans.
  5. I have a couple questions 1. Rob are you installing new plug wires and if so what set are you going to use ? 2. Aaron, do you know what set is on your car in the picture? I see that they have black boots and say "AC Delco Premium 7MM" on them. My car had the original wires on it when I got it all boots were black, (Except one that the previous owner replaced when he pulled the end off by accedent when checking the plugs.) I just picked up a set of AC Delco 9508N wires and the have orange boots and say "AC Delco Silicone 7MM" on them. 3. Would someone get knocked for a non stock item if they used an upgraded replacement part ? (in this case a professional series plug wire)
  6. Sounds like your gettin' close Sam. Gabe and I took the Monte out for about a forty five minute drive this afternoon. Windows up and heat on of course, after all it was only 34 degrees out. I figured that all of the rain we had around here the last few days, any traces of salt that may have been put down this year was gone.
  7. Maybe if you throw us a pic of what you have going on someone can help better than me.
  8. Sounds like you are talking about this piece ? I believe that there are different widths, for different radiators this one is 30" wide where the tape is laying and is for a 28 1/2" core.
  9. My stock radiator has a 28 1/2" wide core, my shroud covers all of the way to the right side of the core and leaves 4 1/2" of core exposed on the left (drivers) side.
  10. Yes you need two of them, On the bottom of the shroud there are two vertical ribs on each side a few inches in from the sides. The clips go between the those.
  11. Wow that's came a long way. From reading the beginning of this post it sounded like you were just going to do some clean up of the rear area, I guess you couldn't find a stopping point until you ran out of frame going forward! It's looking GREAT.
  12. Thanks Carl. I had recently picked up a box of Auveco bolts, I didn't realize that they had such a large selection of stuff.
  13. I am looking for some of the brass terminals, both male and female for the bulk head connector of a late 60's early 70's GM car. I do not need the plastic part just the terminals. Anyone out there know I can find them ?
  14. Not sure if you are leaving on the stock fan and shroud or going electric only ? I just bought these two items for a car that I was working on. The shroud fit great on the 28" X 19" Howe aluminum radiator. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-53524/overview/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-398
  15. I hope everyone has a safe trip and no one earns the hardship plaque.
  16. Spent the last couple days cleaning , polishing and waxing so that we could look our best for Bow Ties On The Hill today.
  17. Wow Sam it really does look that way. That must be why you went with 3.5" exhaust, so it so it would at least have the biggest bark.
  18. Due to the weather didn't take the Monte out on Saturday, Sunday morning (crappy/Windy/rainy) went to the Bearing Burners car show and swap meet. Didn't find much in the way of first gen stuff except center caps (I think they were imported from Canada),most were $20. Saw a guy walking around with a milk crate that he bought overflowing with them. Cleared up in the late afternoon so I took it out for a long drive. I'de better say sorry for the Canada comment, I don't want carma taking it out on my caps.
  19. The first thing I thought of from those pictures was crank case pressure and your oil pan leak, like Mike also mentioned. So now you can pull that chrome oil pan out of the garbage and put it back on ????? LOL
  20. You know it ! I am going to throw out grass seed three days before every car show. because nothing dries up the weather like me wasting $$$ on seed.
  21. Washed and waxed it yesterday so that we can watch it rain today. Was planning on going out to the Antique Festival and car show today.
