  1. the only one I seen was for a mustang, $588.00!!!
  2. hey Bill, wonder how much they want for one
  3. at least you know that you are getting close
  4. use the schell rotella or the valvoline that Don sugested, esp if you put a new cam in it
  5. that fuel ratio works for under power, but for cruising, it's to rich, 14.7:1 is the perfect ratio for cruising, 12-13 for power, try changing metering rods (bigger ones) for the part throttle, this will lean it out, 15" of vacuum isn't bad at idle with that cam, the last time I had mine running, I had 6" at idle, wonder what I'll have with the new one, going to use a vacuum pump for the brakes this time
  6. I'm not looking for the 9's, think they are going to find me weather I like it or not, I hope I come up a little shy, I have to find consistancy
  7. maybe they'll change that to 9.5 for a cage, I hope
  8. it wouldn't be the first time!!!!
  9. I like running street tires, I can pretend I'm one of those "drifters", that's why I love rear wheel drives in the snow
  10. ain't nothing like having a set of STICKYS worth every penny to me HOOK&BOOK
  11. Don picked a different intake for me, remember we changed to a different head too I was going to use the Jr when I was going to keep the eddy's, just sent it back this engine is getting whatever Don says, maybe next year even a dominator carb, we'll have to see how it runs first what do you think people will say when it says RICE RACING on the valve covers
  12. a dyno-jet or a mustang dyno you get very different readings, depending on which chassis dyno you use, mine only made about 370 on a mustang, running 11.6's on the engine before that I had 378 with a dyno-jet, running 12.50's what horsepower, do you think I have?
  13. heads are cheaper than that huffer and you can sell the other ones
  14. positively, the edelbrock ovals have a port that is bigger than a oval and smaller than a square, he can make a jr match, I bet you'll impressed with the results of a intake swap esp on the big end, different heads would sure wake that puppy up too!!! that's why I switched
  15. you're at the point where you need a single plane, I don't know about the huffer, Don told me to use the jr with the edelbrock heads, your heads on the 502 ARE edelbrock heads if they are the alum, do you have the square or oval port he matches the intake ports to the heads, and can "port" the hole intake
  16. Bill, a victor jr intake should get you a little more, and have Don work it first, bummer, I just sent one back too
  17. check the rule book first for placement, I think no more than 6" from the front U-joint, although mines more than that, don't remember who's it is
  18. I haven't had any problem with mine dragging, have the same ones as Bill, fit nice, had to move the prop valve, is a little tight around the steering , lift the engine to get them in and no problems
  19. the jegs are canfield 310cc, that's what bought
  20. Don's putting a set of canfield 310cc (JEGS version)on for me, I would take a good them, that's alot of money that could pay for, cam, intake, and lifters what intake are you looking at?
  21. if you can't find one, call Leo,(KLASSIK1) Koniks Klassiks, on the parts page, he'll be able to help
  22. some gm trans had a duel bolt pattern
