  1. Is there any company that makes REPOP Wheel opening trim for our Montes? One of mine are alittle bent up. Helped a buddy with a 70 GTO build and he had OPG trim and it was complete junk in fit and finish.
  2. I think Sam wanted more "In Progress" pictures
  3. Dang, was hoping they were I. They look the same
  4. I know the center console is different, I was curious about the shifter assembly itself. Like I said I can get it for next to nothing.
  5. I work there as well, however I highly doubt you'll find anything of use. The new style column is way different.
  6. Were all these shifters the same? A local yard by me has what I believe is a 73-77 Buick horse shoe shifter a 73-77 cutlass. It still has the column shift in it as well so it's definitely not original. I can get it for next to nothing. Complete! I know the console is not correct but curious if the shifter is the same. Looks identical. Heres what it looks like. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-76-buick-grand-sport-regal-skylark-century-automatic-center-console-/252236021563?hash=item3aba703f3b:g:NogAAOSwAYtWKkQL&vxp=mtr
  7. Thanks all! But the picture makes her look better than she is, still a 20 footer at best. My phone kinda flipped the color alittle, it's more of a teal. But seeing it this way makes me consider the viewed color as an option when I paint her
  8. Right now I'm still rolling on 43 yr. Old factory springs so it sits lower than it should and is softer. The only spot that will rub will be the out side edge of the inner fender. Everything else clears. I'm going to buy chevelle inners and rework them with rolling the fenders. Probably overkill but I'm pretty positive I won't have issues even under hard cornering after that
  9. BOSS 338 18x9.5 275/40/18. 5.033 backspace
  10. That t56 won't like that.
  11. I've seen their products, they are very nice. The website is a bit of a pain though.
  12. Well a holley high rise (EFI) intake is about 12 inches from valley to top and that should clear. (Will be close though) unless you are running fiberglass everything it will be tough. These are big cars.
  13. T-56 will require some work on the tunnel. unless you are running a stupid tall intake with spacers you'll be fine. People run factory truck LS intakes just fine and they are pretty tall. Put inner fenders in. Street Car?
  14. Trolling around on summits web site and yet I don't see a suspension bushing kit for our Montes. Are they the same as the Chevelle? I know the Monte is a longer sexier Chevelle an all but I wasn't sure if the Monte had and variances if the bushing departments. I'm guess this would be the same answer for the body bushings as well? Thanks, Matt
  15. I've been following this and watching for updates. I have 6.0/4L80 sitting in the corner waiting for me to yank the tired old 350 out.(Decided against a big block) Probably going to be winter project. Work full time and school full time leaves me on the sidelines watching everybody else play. Awesome work, and very fast at that.
  16. I planned on doing tall ball joints, I didn't plan on using factory springs. I was only curious on what factory height was so I know how much drop from factory I would have to expect when I order drop springs. I'm going to measure the wheel well height so hopefully I can get a comparison from someone.
  17. After getting the car home and comparing her to others I figure the springs are sagged pretty bad. I'm guessing they are the originals. However I like the height but want a progressive rate. What is the factory fender lip height front and back? I want to make sure I get the right springs. I'll be pretty mad if I put new springs on her and she sits up like a truck. I'm going to run between a 26-27 inch tall tire. Thanks again
  18. It is illegal to have and buy those... thread lightly
  19. Ok, I've been trolling around these forums for quite a while trying to gather the information I am looking for. I currently do not have a first gen monte however I do have very firm deal on a 72 right now. This is a 350/350 car. My question is does this car have a 8.5 10 bolt or an 8.2? I can't use his lift at his shop for a while because of other projects. If I could get under the car right now I would be able to distinguish between the two and I'm curious if and when the 8.2 was phased out.
  20. Ok so I have used Eibach Springs on several other build before and I like the progressive rate that you get from them. However, Eibach does not offer a kit for a Monte. They do offer one for a small block Chevelle. Will these fit in a Monte if I order for 72 Chevelle to be installed in a 72 Monte. The Monte is currently a small block car and it will receive a very aluminized big block at some point so I'm not worried about the 100 to 150 lb difference.
