  1. I have to been told to use HOOKER SUPER COMP HEADERS with the big tubes. Of course they'll set u back around $400. Very good headers though, this is what I will be putting on my 454 SS.
  2. I heard a rumor that they do not reproduce the gas hand for the idiot light cluster, is this true? Yes they make a new clock.
  3. Or it should be tacked to the top of the page. Just the correct finishes. This would help if wanting factory finishes.
  4. Just paint them all nice and glossy
  5. Thanks for the compliment on my Monte. Yes I believe anyone with a 1970 Monte should have these moldings if they can be found
  6. Thanks, this will be very helpful...as I will be putting in a cam in the next 8 months or so, when I get some more $$$$$
  7. That is very weird. I have never heard of that happening before
  8. Here is my Monte Carlo at the Eastern Meet this year with the headlight molding in my signature.
  9. Those things are rare and hard to come by even if you do take them off. Don't toss them. They will bring a nice price to somebody in great shape. Check out an NOS one on ebay sometime
  10. As in your previous tranny question...I see your going with a 350 Small block. Depending on the power its going to have if it ain't more than around 350 Horsepower. It will be fine to go with a 350 Turbo. But as I said before the choice is really up to you. 400? or 350? or 700R4 All great choices for a Small block chevy.
  11. A 700R4 is a great tranny also. It's sorta like a 400 Turbo with overdrive is what I would say. Thing is they are super expensive. My friend with a 67' Camaro just had one put in his car. The builder provided the trans. With the Transmission included, Labor, parts to build, etc. It cost old Marshall $1600 !!! The best thing is he got what he wanted and its done right. Its your car so do what you want with it. The truth though is go with a 400 Turbo depending on how much power you're going to have. The 350 Turbo is fine for a milder engine with less power. Or the 700R4 if you want overdrive.
  12. A 350 Turbo is fine for a small block. A big block a 400 is a half to. I will say a 400 is a bigger, heavier, and TOUGHER tranny. You can't beat a 400 for durability and toughness. A 350 turbo is fine too though especially if you have a small block. A small block with a lot of power though I'd recommend a 400. Hope this helps.
  13. On my bumper jack it does say imprinted into the metal........ 1970 Monte Carlo This is the only thing I've seen but they may bee #'s too. Jared Richey
