Yeah John, it's come along pretty good since you stopped over. Plenty more to do, but it's getting there bit by bit. Thank you for the compliments, much appreciated!

Yeah, it's moving along, slowly. At a cruise night now at the Texas Roadhouse steak place. Good excuse to eat here too...

Lol, been busy, but nothing pictures would really show. Wiring harness, piped up clutch slave, clutch master cylinder ran into fitment issues under the dash, so Silversport is sending a part, installed a few more small parts here & there, etc. Waiting on a few things to be delivered to expand some exhaust tubing so I could mount the headers. Once headers are on, I can mount starter, wiring to it, power steering lines, etc. So today I went in a different direction entirely, starting to install the new carpets inside. Hope to get that done tomorrow possibly and maybe put the seats & console back too. Depends if some other parts get delivered tomorrow as scheduled.
  4. The middle picture, with the screwed on plate on the rightside of the pic...that's for a vacuum motor mounting for the HVAC system, unless you're looking at something different than I am.

Thanks Steve, it's already back together, putting the bar in now. Thank you Willie, very kind words indeed!

Thanks! Oh yeah, I'm out here. Trying to get the front stabilizer bar in place....and slowly disassembling the car to get it in. It's like a Chinese puzzle, and I'm not smart enough to figure it out, lol. EDIT: So, if you remove the right brake caliper/rotor, harmonic balancer & left lower control arm rubber bumper, the stabilizer bar will slide in place. I hate working on cars....

Thanks! Just finished eating, going to walk right past that chair and head into the shop 😁

Yep, still avoiding the car. The transmission is on the jack, almost ready to slip into place, but I'm getting hungry, lol It was much better talking to you than working on anything here, lol.

Lol, for me it was the avoidance trap today. I've done just about anything else to not work on the car. Finally got to it around 4 pm, which means dinner soon & then the Lazy-boy calling my name 😁

Oh yeah, ranks right up there with the hot tub trap. 😄

Got the O2 sensor bungs welded up, lifted the engine back up, left side header set in place, clutch and scatter shield installed yesterday. Made the mistake of sitting in the Lazy-Boy after dinner. Went back out there 3 hours later to lock up the shop, lol. Planning to get the transmission in place, maybe hook up the hydraulic throw out bearing, and then whatever else I get distracted with to assemble.
  12. More bananas you say???
  13. Hmmm...Typically B/C dries pretty quick. Usually I'm scuffing & buffing it the next day or two depending on what I used. I'd still put it out in the sun for a spell. Don't be surprised it it dies down a little or shrinks a bit after heating it up. Worst case, they screwed something up and it'll show up after heating it.
  14. First off, did you ask the body shop about it yet? Second, what kind of paint did they use? Base/clear, single stage urethane, enamel? That will make a difference on drying time. This is probably the most important factor right now, what kind of paint & primer is underneath. Maybe put it in the sun for a bit to help harden it up too, see what happens.
  15. I've never been accused of being nice...
  16. That thought has crossed my mind too actually... Car looks great, see you there!
  17. If I had to guess, most guys here are thinking better you, than them, 🤣
  18. FWIW, GM procedures on newer vehicles simply say to fill the cooling systems with coolant and "clean drinkable water". I still use distilled water on my vehicles when refilling though.

Thanks Glen, plenty of work still left to do though. Just got done drilling some big holes in real expensive headers a few minutes ago. I'll weld the bungs on tomorrow.
