  1. Yes you’re right there is. But I had the a arms rear control arm springs radiator core support all brackets engine brackets and pulleys powder coated as well so that was a huge help. I have to get the new bushings pressed in and I got the bolts organized but need to refinish those which is going to be time consuming.
  2. I purchased Monroe part number MA762 from advance auto parts. They are a black color but you can paint them the gray blue original color and they have the airline connection in the correct placement.I believe they were a little over $60 shipped to my house.
  3. Yes when I first borrowed the rotisserie I thought maybe I would just use it for a month. But it’s been closer to three months now. I thought I would just pressure wash it and sand the paint and paint it but it had undercoating in certain areas that I had to scrape off and then get off with Tar remover. I will just take my time and do what I can. Thanks for all the comments.
  4. I finally got the firewall and floor board painted on Friday. Also, got my frame and other parts back from powder coating. Going to work on painting the trunk next and then reassembling the frame with suspension. Wish me luck!
  5. Tom, I saw in a previous thread that you had the original radiator but it had a leak you put stop leak in and we’re deciding whether to recore it or get a new one. If you do decide to get a new one I would be interested in buying your old one if it is a four core. I have a 71 that had the original radiator and I sent it to get recored but FedEx damaged the driver side tank when they shipped it back. It has code letters IF on the driver tank Jerry
  6. Hi Tom, I saw your post on getting your 71 Monte Carlo running again. I noticed your mention that the radiator leaked and you put some stop leak in it temporarily and were debating whether to recore it or get a new radiator. If you do decide to get a new radiator I would be interested in purchasing your old one. I have a 71SS which had the original radiator in it and I sent it out to get recored. FedEx however damaged It on the return shipping and the driver side tank was damaged so I am searching for a four core driver side tank with the letters  I F on it. If you are willing to sell your old radiator if you get a new one please let me know. Jerry Skidmore

  7. I made a mistake when I said the server was mount on the firewall it’s on the inner fender like the 72 I was thinking of a 68 impala I saw so the only difference is the chrome lever in 70 and the linkage to the carburetor with the chain in 70
  8. It is possible it was dealer installed later. According to Chevelle stuff no cruise control was factory installed in 71 in Chevelle or Monte Carlos. Maybe someone has a build sheet to prove otherwise.
  9. The 1970 cruise control lever is chrome and there was also a vacuum canister mounted on the firewall not the inner fender and 71 didn’t have any cruise control but 72 had a black lever with the canister on the inner fender. The linkage was different In 70.
  10. I sent my friend with the Chevelle an email so as soon as he sends me the pictures I will forward to you.
  11. I have a friend who has a 70 Chevelle SS 396 convertible with factory cruise control that could get some pictures. Jerry
