  1. Cant imagine how you did that with an engine lift!. You da man!!!
  2. Ugh!. I’d rather do what I did today than that!
  3. Glad you found it before a , road trip , ...
  4. Yes, I’m sure.. he would , and several others if they were close.. it’s just a matter of me doing things when I have the time.. difficult to plan ahead... but if he did, I would just hide the 2x4 s .😊
  5. Productive day on the car lift today, Sunday, befor the heat got here 93 now.. got the other lift post set and top rail on also. Don’t ask how but It’s answered in one word. Starts with an S and has two syllables. But, I’m a one man operation and always have had no help so I did it my way. The stupid way , but , it’s done..
  6. Was supposed to go to a cruise today but wife was sick so neither of us got to go. Had everything ready but Monte just had to sit and pout.. so later on I drove her to the local drive thru for some cold Rocky Mountain spring water and sat around enjoying those for the rest of the evening.. at least I got to drive to the store. Some days ya just have to make the best of it…A cold beverage er “several “ a little music 🎼 Lynyrd skynyrd , made the day quite tolerable..
  7. Got a post up yesterday, Friday, not bolted in yet, too early to drill concrete.. about another week of curing…
  8. Back to work the last two weeks. Things moving slow on the car lift installation, have done some wiring to the area from breaker box to a heavy duty power disconnect to the lift , while the concrete cures… they threw the power disconnect box out at work years ago and I scavenged it hoping I would use it on a car lift someday. And luckily I get to.. will be a quick power off to unit , besides the breaker box.. will set post and drill holes for bolts to hold lift stable on concrete next. If I ever get time . Lots of rain still around here. Lots of grass mowing for august..

    Help Needed

    Sharp ride cool 😎
  10. That’s ok Sammy , I’m anxious as well. I would say it’s just that Rob doesn’t have that many fingers and toes ! 😂🤣😅😁😆
  11. Like I said earlier on a different post, love the black!!!. When’s the next “stalking” class Rob?..
  12. Yal guess I could have put some foot long pole spacers where the poles connect together.. make it at least 12 foot on the sides. The lift is 12 ft, the carport is 11 ft on the sides. Unless I put my truck on there , I should be ok. I’m not that tall anyway. But if I have to I’ll extend the height of the carport.. thanks willie hadn’t thought of that.. 🤔 Ron.
  13. I caught that too, but I didn’t type that part. I had to read it more than once .
  14. No mark I haven’t seen it. It’s located in Lexington Ky . I’m not sure but looks like a 350. With a different intake and valve covers. Appears to be well taken care of , in the pictures at least. A person would need to make contact to find the details. As for me, I really like the black , but, if I had the money I would be on my way to Canada. 12,000 miles vs 70,000.
  15. It’s going to be outside, didn’t want in inside metal blgd. Was going to install it under carport beside blgd but too tall. So, it will be at the far end of the carport.. inside my blgd would just take up too much room. Hoping you find that property soon.
  16. Concrete poured for car lift today , work on getting 220 ⚡️ out there while concrete sets up for couple weeks…
  17. A good friend of mine ask me to post this nice Monte for sale, it belongs to a friend of his… contact info and price listed ..
  18. Seat trim ordered and installed, wasn’t going to replace seat back trim but went ahead with it, as the original had yellowed like window crank knobs and had also shrank. To the point they wouldn’t reach the end cap trim as shown in the pictures.. looks much brighter and better with the bottom seat trim on.. but, I’ll save the original trim… Ron…
  19. Off the car lift for a bit , concrete next. In the mean time it’s fix the wheelchair lift on a spec Ed bus cause they don’t have a clue at work and they will just ship it off to some other repair shop. No kidding. Anyway, it’s fixed after watching a short video on it .. wouldn’t retract to fold up.. simple fix, so thankful for vocational education back in the day…
  20. I saw a car at a show that used silver bubble wrap in sections under the hood. Wasn’t a Monte so I didn’t get a picture. Looked ok , but I wouldn’t use it. Ron…
  21. Up date on the car lift installation, got the holes dug and rebar for the concrete, but back to work now this week so things will move slow on getting it done. The holes are about 17 inches deep , 3x3 ft at 13 in deep plus 4x4 cap at 3 1/2 deep. Rebar at top and bottom sections.. will use 3500-4000 tensile strength concrete when the time comes… installing it myself. Will use tractor loader to set post.last picture is deceiving, looks unlevel with each other in photo but they are level. The steel beam across from one foundation to the other goes at top of lift to transport fluid to left side post from pump and to help support post from pulling inward under weight. This is a commercial grade lift… very heavy. Ron…
  22. Life goes on in spite of this heat, weather the weather is hot or cold, keeping busy and listening to music while I’m doing it keeps me going.. this is my activity last few days even in the heat.. and finally got a real deal on something I’ve wanted for a long time. put brake pads on rear of harley trike, similar to Monte front disk brakes. One thing harley added is a clip to caliper shafts to keep them from falling out if they become loose. Had one on the front of the Monte come loose and fell out at somerset Eastern Meet.. found a real deal on a hydraulic car lift at work. Was being replaced but still good condition. Got it for 300$ on a sealed bid. Now all I have to do is install it . Ugh. But it will be a great asset to work under the Monte, or anything else. Could have used it putting those brake pads on the tri glide… Ron…
  23. Congratulations!. Beautiful car, triple black is hard to beat, good choice!
