  1. Don't think you will like the 3:73 with a 350TH/400TH trans. Will not do good on the highway. You speedometer will read be about 12 mph fast if you are running 235X70X15 tires. Been there done that. I went to a 700R4 trans.
  2. Was going to add another smart donkey comment but couldn't top this!
  3. Loaded mine on the trailer and backed it in the garage. Storm coming in tonight, 2-4 inches of rain predicted.
  4. Look at these. May help. http://www.summitracing.com/search/depar.../detroit-locker
  5. Have your radiator cap checked or just buy a new one. It's a starting point. Good Luck!!
  6. check OPGI http://www.opgi.com/product.asp?search=y...&submit.y=6
  7. I've got the adj uppers, solid lowers and anti-hop bars. Greatly improved the handling and launch. My 2 cents on this.
  8. The brass strip is a biggie. Caused me a problem untill I noticed it was pushed back and not connected.
  9. You talking about me. Ha Ha - Mike G "The Knight is a bridge between the idealism of youth and the wisdom that comes only with experience."
  10. All above or a dog may have took a hike on your tire. Good luck taking care of this!
  11. You guy's know your stuff! My car is a 70 and had the 71 spear on it. I had the bodyshop repair the hood and put on the correct one. If you need this one (great shape) I can let it go for $75. I think the repros are about $125.
  12. Seen it in the garage. May go for a spin around the neighborhood later.
  13. Went and got it. It has P-3987004 on it. Next to it is the bowtie with BC in the center. Number 1 is next to this. This is a 3 piece assembly. spear, spring and black emblem spelling out Chevrolet in script. And 3 atatch nuts.
  14. My last shot at this. Assuming you did not check the coolant level after you parked and it cooled down. First - Maybe the coolant is getting pushed out the reservoir overflow tube when the engine warms up because of a bad radiator cap. A pressure test won't show this, because one has to remove the radiator cap to do the test! You can test a radiattor cap with a thermometer, a hotplate, and a Pyrex vessel. Simply hang the cap into the water, turn the hotplate on, and see what temperature the T-stat opens at. Second - If your tranny is an automatic, check the fluid and inspect the dip stick for signs of moisture. May be leaking through the trans cooler? Third - You are just messing with us --- Ha Ha!!
  15. A radiator pressure tester should help determine what's going on. Hope it's not a cracked block or blown head gasket! Good luck with this.
  16. Doug's has headers for Monte's. I used the ceramic coated ones. I think the angle plug headers work on both? I have angle plug heads. These were the long headers. This is the Summit info: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dou-d308/applications/make/chevrolet/model/monte-carlo
