  1. It's been a while since I had any updates on my Monte. I went out to Dave's shop last Sunday and we started working on the front pieces again. Dave sprayed epoxy primer on the right front fender today and I see from the photo he has reprimed the left front fender and sprayed guide coat on it. I'm heading out to the Shop in the morning to flip over the hood and prep the underside for Black epoxy primer. From the picture of the fender. It looks like I did a pretty good job on the lower patch work.
  2. I have been thinking about doing the same thing to my trunk. I need to patch up a couple little spots on the trunk floor first when I get her back from Daves. I don't know what to use yet. So when you go and do yours I hope you share you info.
  3. I think so. I bought my Carpet for my 70 from National Parts Depot, And it was for the Chevelle. But my is an Automatic on the column.
  4. WOW!! Very Cool Craftsmanship. Your Monte is going to look KILLER when its done. Any Idea of a Color or Colors for the exterior?

  8. Put my Monte on a trailer and hauled it about 10miles to a storage barn for my painter so he could get a insurance job done. He has no room for my car in his current setup.
  9. Update on my Monte. Doors and Trunk lid where painted Thursday night. Then Dave Cut and Buffed them Friday and Saturday. Here are some pictures. I'm going out to his shop Tomorrow, we Are putting it on the trailer and hauling it over to Unionville for a few days cause he has an insurance job that he needs to get in and paint.
  10. Went out today to help prep the back side of the trunk lid and doors. For a better look at the paint job on the body since it was outside. Looks great. Dave sprayed and cleared the backsides of the doors and trunk lid. Tomorrow night we block the outsides of the doors and trunk lid and spray color. Pictures to follow on that process. Here are photos of today's work.
  11. Black vinyl. That had always been my dream is a Dark Blue with Black vinyl top Monte.
  12. I got some more pictures from Dave this morning. Buffed the right quarter Tuesday night. Next onto the doors and trunk lid.
  13. Nope Glen. Dave just did a make shift top I think to know where the edge was to cut and buff. It does look cool though. I can't copy Sam.
  14. Here are some more pictures. Left quarter got cut and buffed last night and here is my makeshift vinyl top. Kind of reminds me of Sam's 2 tone 70. Lol
  15. Went over this afternoon to check out the paint job Dave did yesterday. Beautiful. Next two evenings Dave will be wet sanding and buffing the shell then we will move on to the Doors and trunk lid.
  16. I can't wait to see this in person. Dave says the pictures don't do it justice
  17. Here is a pretty shot of the top of the right quarter
  18. We will start on the doors and trunk lid this coming week. The rest should go pretty quick. He did it this way cause the Shop is small and not enough room to have all those long partsout there to.
  19. We are Blue Tony again. In posting pictures as I receive them. So excited.
  20. Last coat of Fathom Blue on the body. I will keep the pictures coming. You bet. I can wait to get color on the rest of the pieces.

  22. I think it has Potential. I would take it if the price was right
  23. Went out to the Shop last light for an hour and roughed up the door jams on the Monte. Pushed the car out of the garage and blew out the Shop. Next up masking and some color. Left quarter is all nice and smooth now.
