  1. Good luck Scott and please share when you find out.
  2. Sweet! You have a great friend in Dave for sure. Kudos to him for helping you like he is. You've done a lot of work Tony. Looking forward to seeing it with finish coat too.
  3. Photo correction test...saved it to my desktop, then turned it, and then saved it again.
  4. I drove it and topped it off with non ethanol premium....winterizing it later this week.
  5. Yes...tougher than regular paint and no primer needed. http://www.por15.com/
  6. Looking forward to seeing you posting again here soon Davey. I hope your recovery is 100%.
  7. Until someone comes out with a 3/8" white pinstripe radial in G70-15 or equivalent, I'll stay with the BFG's. They look nice, ride nice, wear well and are reasonably priced.
  8. That frame looks great Dan. And $275? It costs about $800 up here.
  9. I replaced the TCS solenoid and a couple of carb brackets today on my Monte. Then I took it for a 2 hour drive. I dropped in on the previous owner as he hadn't seen it since he sold it to me. He and his wife really enjoyed seeing the Monte again and were very complimentary about the improvements and detailing I have done. The Monte ran great on this nice and sunny November day.
  10. I just searched a little but I don't see a G70-15 or equivalent 225-70-15 pinstripe whitewall by Kelsey Goodyear.
  11. Thanks guys....Darren (LS5) just replied to the email I sent him and he said the same thing. Darren said that the pan will need to be dropped to access the retainer clip so I'll be having the transmission shop who did the rebuild fix it. I'm just happy it isn't more serious. Thanks again. Larry
  12. This was kind of funny tonight. I had my transmission rebuilt this past spring. It has worked great all summer but about a month ago it developed a leak. I don't think it leaks while being driven but it seems to leak overnight or the next day after I park it. So tonight, when I got home from work, I slid underneath again (this time on the driver's side) with a flashlight and I think I discovered where it is coming from. What is this doo-hickey called and how do I fix it? On a side note, and the funny part, after I took the pics I was uploading them to my computer and enlarged them for a good look. By accident, I finally discovered where the v.i.n. is on my transmission and it is for sure the original transmission as it matches the car's vin. I figured it was the original this spring when I decoded the transmission tag on the passenger's side but this confirms it for sure.
  13. Well, I figure they aren't new any longer by the time I get to the border.
  14. Larry...I like the way you think.
  15. I researched them all a couple of years ago. The Diamondbacks are tires that are made by common tire manufacturers and then they machine them and the whitewall or redline is bonded to them depending what the customer orders. Here's how they are made... http://www.dbtires.com/howtiresmade.html
  16. I have been considering the same look for the last few years but they would be at least $400 each for me by the time I got them here
  17. Look again at the link I posted Joe. They have the 3/8" white pinstripe.
  18. Hey Joe, have you checked out Diamondback tires? The reviews on them look great. They are located in Conway South Carolina. http://www.dbtires.com/2015_catalog/hi/33.htm
  19. I like the look of those and being radials is a bonus. I wonder what the reviews are like on them.
  20. I like the look of those. I've been told to stay away from the bias ply reproductions from Coker.
