  2. well Car still has some little issues but the drover has more LMAOOOO man I blew both qualifying passes with a faulty T-Brake switch caused by me So First Round was set up to go in the 10.30 range and play stripe ..I caught and stayed ahead of the guy but he treed me and I ran under..I ran a 10.45 to his 55.... he had me covered in Reaction no way I could beat him Anyways will post some pictures later but here is my Green Car next to my Buddies Blue 70 LOL
  3. Dave everytime I have painted a car it was in Lacquer this is my first with urethane.I actually like how the clear pulled down and how shiney it dryed.I used a slow hardener so maybe next time I paint something I will try Medium hardener...Beings I painted the car outside basically it collected alot of dust and dirt. The hood definitely needs resanded and buffed out again so I will let the paint dry and pull down... will do it again in about a month.I used 600 on the hood and you can see some scratches. The rest was done in 1000.I will get the car ready for the race this weekend.
  4. Those gauges are bad [you said a naughty!] I love them

  6. 9. I used Braided Line and ran mine on top of the frame you should be fine with what ever way you run them
  10. Going to try and run 9.900 index class this year... ran the 10.50 class last year. Will know in a couple weeks when I head to a TnT
  11. Well guys its 2012 and its time to do a repaint.Well finally got my new fender sand blasted and did some minor bodywork on it over the last couple weeks.Decided I needed to get moving so tonight swapped the fender out , now when I get back from Charlotte next weekend will get started on the minor body work needed on rest of car and try to get it painted before the first race in the renegade series on May 26th.If all goes well should have it painted by then Enjoy
  12. well no reason for it too be idling that high..... why do you have the idle set there??? Not sure you need a converter for your setup
  13. they flash different since they run off different flashers usually when the 4 ways go bad the turn signals wont flash they just light up so if you have the flasher you just took out place it in the steering column
  14. Ok if car running has 12volts at battery and 12.5 not running obviously your your not charging..If you have replaced Alt battery and Regulator then there seems to be a wiring issue.... you need to follow the wire off the charging post on the alternator...... and use a volt meter make sure your alternator is charging follow wire through each connection and check voltage should be over 13v ... for some reason its not getting to battery.
  15. Not sure if I read this right but the 6AL has a built in rev limiter so there would be no need for a module in your HEI..If thats what I am reading from your post .. if not sorry
  16. The few US Body Source hoods I ahve seen are good.... this is the hood I have .. fit fine and has held up good http://www.usbody.com/
  17. Yea I would be concerned that if coolant is getting into an intake port, it could also be leaking into the crankcase which will destroy the motor.. first thing I would do is check the oil and make sure its not over full and milky.Second I would be getting a new set of intake gaskets and pulling intake to fix it
  18. Start with the Small block and if your looking at less than 10-1 compression 93 will be more than enough for you.when you get to 10.5=11-1 and higher then more octane would be required.... but with that compression 93 will just be fine
  19. If the tranny is out you might as well throw a shift kit in it wont hurt...Dont know much about your motor but I would say min of 3500 max of 4200 on the convertor
  20. Those are good rockers and sound like a very good price
  21. HEI would be better for sure...
  22. The easiest way is to get a volt meter and check voltage of battery before you start car then check it after its started.Voltage should be 12-12.5v if its a good battery. After the car is started the voltage at the battery should read above 13v.If it doesnt then check the small post coming off the Alternator to see if its putting out more than 13v which it should be.That means its charging.... so the problem would be between the alternator and the battery so next check the voltage regulator
  23. I think when your talk BB and SB in the first Gen Montes most will agree once you get into the mid to low 11's with a sb the dollar amount to go faster and get into the 10's will be double or triple that of the money to make a BB go into the mid to low 10's.Like stated by others .. dollar for dollar there is no replacement for displacement
  24. Could be a timing Issue or even a coil going bad
