You have to bend tabs in housing to get cable and mirror out not a bad job.I bought 1 from Ausley and have not started putting that stuff on but I might take the org. one to get plated when I take my bumpers and headlight rings to get done in a couple months so I'll have it also
Problem is the mount gasket for remote is different than nonremote and nobody make them.Bought one from Ausley but have not taken out of box as not finished painting car yet
The 2 relays are bolted together right behind the a/c duct in pic from Monte70car.I think that I have a wire in the fuse box that goes to the wire on relay. But would like to be sure before I power up.I don't have power windows. Thanks for help
There is 2 relays under dash behind glove box for A/C and there is one orange wire that goes to something that plugs by itself.Does it go to the fuse box.I have a single wire at fuse box with a single connector I think that it it.Been a couple years since took harness out now putting it back in.Thanks for help
Flux core is just messy with the slag and use 023 wire on sheet metal. But I pefer tig all my sheet metal and leave mig for other but sometime tack with mig to hold patch the tig.like you said each to their own.
Bought new one for M/C and the Chevelle same part# and neck was all wrong hit trunk floor so had to cut off org and weld it to new tank.So they are not the same at least the one I got and the slosh tube is not there in new tank cheaper to make but cos the same
The orange wire ha no wire to mate up to on the inside bulkhead block so I guess it is not used but the green wire goes to high speed fan relay.Boy hate electrical stuff.Thought I marked everything when I toke it apart. When I start on the 35 chevy nothing on it so I won't have that problem
Got my Eastwood 110 and use .023 wire and always gas for sheet metal. But I still use my 300 amp tig for most all my welding. The mig is good for tacking then I use tig with butt welds.Mig is good for hard to get welds.Use fluxcore outside on junk stuff.Your choice but Eastwood offers free ship sometime.
It is a 71 factory air and the wire from horn relay is about 5ft long. Can't remember if it went to fuse link at A/C box.Went to Moultrie swap meet Fri to look at a MC 2 there and what a butcher job on wiring of those two.Try to look at Chevelle soon.If any one knows Thanks
There is a green wire that is on horn relay and I think it goes back to the firewall to the fused link by the a/c box is that where it goes. Also an orange wire coming out of wire bundle on firewall below steering column it is in the bottom left of that connector. Can't remember where these 2 go.Thanks for any help.Got one of those wiring diagram nut doesn't show that good
you can fab up the corners of the back window by using a shrinker/stretcher or take one piece of sheetmetal and curve it and then another to make bottom, weld it together and grind weld down then weld in body.It just take doing it the easy way over and over
I hope they fit better that the ones I got had to really work the out where they meet up at bottom where they line up with rocker and door.Radius is not too good on patch panel
I did all the factory body bushing and also used regular bushings and did change rear control arms to hipo from Summit sine one of my lower was bent.Guess it was from hitting the drag strip a few times
I bought a set from SS396.com but they only have 2 metal snaps not 3 like MC's but the outer they sent is for the vertical between the door glass and 1/4 glass. So if you order the ones from them just order the inner I think they will still work.Same length but not the third clip.I have a set of vertical without the steel in it maybe can make them work on outer. When I get that far I'll see.Really hard to get some parts
71 with factory A/C when I couple connector together outside on bench try to run a continuity tester to all wires and this wire has no continuity anywhere. If you look on fusepanel side of bulkhead they are no pins fro that wire.I do seem to remember a inline fuse up at the a/c box maybe when I put it all back on firewall it will come to me.Don't know how to add pis not a computer person. If anyone has a close up pic of that part of firewall would appricate it.That wire boo is not very good Thanks
Upon reinstall wiring the bulkhead plug has a orange wire in the left side bottom of the bulkhead plug that I can't remember where goes under hood.I checked with a continuity tester and found it has no con anywhere.I did rewrap all the harness under dash and hood and can't seem to find out where that wire goes.Bought a wiring diagram from Ausley but not to good pics of that part of harness. Thanks for help
Found door glass 6 miles from house but did try to get one from Jared but the shipping he found out was crazy. But worked on rad support to get it ready to paint and cleaned body for paint
