I'll bring you some Bananas... -

Here's what the bezel for the switch should look like. Note that this fan is a defogger, not a defroster. it is just cool air from the interior circulated to help defog the rear window. If the window is frosty it will not defrost it.

I booked arriving the 19th and leaving the 23rd. Not 100% sure I'll make it happen yet but I'm working on it. I will be flying in and renting a car. Anyone need me to drive a Monte to the meet for them? 😁 -
I've been discussing the meet with the event organizers and have a great spot in the park picked out for our group. We'll have some nice shade for the day.

Original g78-15 bfgoodrich tires
Canuck replied to 70white402's topic in Cars and Parts For Sale/Wanted
I actually have 3 more of those same tires in good condition. Came off of an 11,000 mile 72 Monte. -
It appears to be gold. I suspect if you look at the body tag on the cowl the trim code is “774”.
-
I have a feeling you need to adjust the top clips that the door panel hangs on so it can drop the panel a little. The top rails of my my 1971 panels sit lower than my 1970 panels.
-
Yes, those are original.
-
Not there yet... LOL

The plastic guide shown here circled in red on the passenger door is missing from the driver’s side. It may have fallen inside stopping the latch from rotating fully.
-
It appears that it is releasing the latch (including the safety) but something isn’t allowing the latch to open all the way. A part could be broken inside the latch casing and causing the latch not to rotate fully. The investigation continues.
-
Tried that. The latch is not releasing.
-
It catches at the latch. It it similar to when you lock the door and close it but does not close all the way.
-
I got this far. Now looking into what needs to move to open it and I’ll get a coat hanger down there. If the issue is inside the latch it may be tough. The door has a very slight sag and may be resting on the pin. It was never an issue opening from the inside, just from the outside.

Opening the door on the 71 Monte has always been a little tough but got worse this summer. I was going to look into it this fall but the door decided I should do it now. The problem is that the door won’t open now. It opens a little but still catches. I can’t get enough clearance to remove the interior door panel. Any ideas on the next step?

What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?
Canuck replied to Canuck's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
New shoes for the 71 SS. I love the attention to detail of my tire shop. Tires all lined up the same with the valve stem. -
Welcome! Very well optioned Monte. Being a Baltimore car there is a good likelihood of finding the build sheet.
-
Small radiator. Typically a small block with no AC but some non-AC cars got the larger rad if a towing package was ordered. This was for 70 and 71 only I believe and not very common. I have not seen a 72 with a small rad. Also note that the proper rad hose is impossible to find. I buy the one for the longer rad and cut it to make if fit as best as I can. Small block with longer rad (very common) Big block
-
There are two different small block shrouds. One for the narrow radiator and one for the more common larger radiator.
-
Nice work. My hoses don’t sit on that ridge. There are three different shrouds depending on engine/radiator combination.
