  1. Yes, Dan is coming to the meet. Unsure who he is bringing with him.
  2. Cameron from Nevada has also decided to join us. Total member count is 27 now.
  3. Make that 26... Add another California member to the list. I love this
  4. We now have 25 members on the list. By State/Province: 8 WA 6 CA 5 AB 2 OR 1 NM 1 BC 1 MT 1 ID
  5. Updated info including hotel here: http://www.firstgenmc.com/05meetwest.shtml
  6. OK, with the amount of people attending this meet, we now have no excuse for not getting a web cam working, LOL. PS, my list is up to 24 members now.
  7. Due to the large group which may be approaching 50 people, I will likely need to make some reservations for the group at a Restaurant for dinner and awards on Saturday night. I will look at what the Dalles Inn has to offer. Any other suggestions for a restaurant? Thanks!
  8. Still more responses coming in. We now have 23 on the list. 8 Washington 6 California 5 Alberta 1 Montana 1 New Mexico 1 Oregon 1 British Columbia (I'm fairly certain I'm going now) This is FANTASTIC!
  9. OK, here is the member breakdown I have so far: 7 Washington 6 California 5 Alberta 1 Montana 1 New Mexico Hopefully 1 also coming from British Columbia if I can get out of going to a wedding that weekend.
  10. I now have 20 club members on my list as scheduled to attend. When I organized the innaugural WM in 2004, I dreamed of hitting the 20 mark. Looks like we may just get there this year! Oddly enough, I still don't have any Oregon members on my list. You Oregon members out there going to join in the fun?!
  11. The Hotel will be The Dalles Inn. Some of the details are already worked out but I still need to "hold" the block of rooms at the group rate which I will do on friday when the Manager is in next. I'll post once done. In addition to the DJ in the parking lot for the cruise (possibly live band this year I'm told), the hotel also sets up a car wash bay in the parking lot for their guests during that weekend. They must like us car people.
  12. I received an email from the event staff yesterday regarding the registration form. They are working on the final details of the registration form and will be sending it to me soon. I will post it as soon as it is available. Regarding the accomodations, I just put together a list of people planning on attending to get an idea of the number of rooms needed. I should have the hotel details worked out tomorrow. I have 18 members thus far so I will be holding a block of 20 rooms. I will get that straightened out by tomorrow.
  13. Hey, you found some rear Centerlines. Very cool!
  14. OK, I finally got around to making some phone calls regarding the hotels. Cousins Country Inn: http://www.cousinscountryinn.com/index.asp - Group rate would be roughly $100/night - Any trailers and tow vehicles would have to be parked on the street and will not be in view of the room. The Dalles Inn: http://www.thedallesinn.com/ - Group rate would be roughly $90/night - This hotel is right in the heart of the cruise. Last year they hired a DJ for the hotel parking lot and may even do a live band for 2010. - They can't guarantee that any parking will be available for the trailers and tow vehicles. She says that weekend they are usually full and use up all the parking with guests. I estimated that we may have 3 trailers and she thought it might be doable to park them in the hotel lot. The two vehicles would park on the street. If those with trailers get there early enough, maybe they could be tucked into the corner of the lot together but still no guarantees. If they are on the street, I suspect they will not be in view of your room. So, for those of you with trailers, what are your thoughts here? Should I be phoning more hotels? If we got a hotel further away from the show like we have at some other meets we might have better luck with space for trucks and trailers.
  15. Ah, good memories. We worked hard to get them arranged. Where was Pat anyway? LOL

Heck, I've seen him in person...
  17. You are correct, sir. I guess I should just read it myself instead of taking someone elses word on it, LOL. In that case, I still like the Country Inn. If I don't hear any objections over the next couple weeks, I'd say the Country Inn is the way to go for the meet. I'll keep you posted.
  18. I did get a comment from one person stating that it would be nice to get a hotel that has a pool (the one I posted does not have one). I also think that would be a good plan since some might be bringing their kids and it is a good way to keep them occupied. Thoughts? The Dalles Inn looks pretty good. We may be able to get a lower rate if we get enough people. I'll have to call and get some info on that. http://www.thedallesinn.com/
  19. OH NO, this can't be happening... not again. A friend of mine is getting married August 14th. I've known for a couple weeks now but I just put 2 and 2 together this morning. First, I was excited about the Montana meet but something came up (2nd child) and now this. Maybe I can convince the to get married in The Dalles, LOL. It's not 100% yet that I'm going to the wedding (depends on if it is in Jamaica or Vancouver) so there is still a small possibility that I can get to the meet. I'll keep you posted. The thought of missing another meet just ruined my day.
  20. I'm currently looking into our hotel options. If you have any suggestions, feel free to post it here or send me a PM. This one looks pretty good with reasonable rates: http://www.cousinscountryinn.com/index.asp
