SPLATT71MC
I'm looking to go with a serpentine set up out of a late 80's early/mid 90's truck(I'm on a budget). What I'd like to know is what all is involved in integrating the smaller and relocated A/C compressor and what are some good sources on parts and pieces to do so. The bulk of the parts(brackets, pulleys, etc) will be sourced from a wrecking yard. Thanks Steve
SPLATT71MC
Anybody?
Sam (Bones)
well... what engine are you working with would help, and if your get the bracket set-up from a junk yard, the only thing should be wiring, AC hoses, PS hoses
SPLATT71MC
It's going onto a 350. Is it necessary to swap out the condenser as well to clean up the hose routing?
footballubet
I've seen a couple from a truck engine on a small block. You'll need the A/C lines made and I think there is an adapter for the metric to SAE fitting on the PS pump.
Sam (Bones)
and be careful that you won't need a reverse direction waterpump too
SPLATT71MC
I'll get a water pump for the donor vehicle to make sure there are no issues there. Oh and duh on my part I forgot to mention that the car already has A/C if that makes a difference.
