Leghome
My 10 bolt rear end was upgraded with Richmond 3:73 Posi in 2005 by the previous owner.
Boots
I am sure that any local parts supplier can handle any basic car parts you need (napa) and if you are not willing to do the work yourself any competent mechanic can do this for you...sometimes money well spent is having someone else do the job...correctly
72MC
Yukon for axles, carrier, clutches, and installation kit. Eaton for carrier. Richmond for ring and pinion. Timken for bearings. Â All parts can be purchased at Randy's Ring and Pinion. Very nice people. - Dave
ClassicJJ
Hey thank you so much! but would you know what the specs on my 12 bolt would be? splines and carrier? I'm pretty sure its an 8.75 carrier correct?
Mike 57
Chevrolet 12 bolts have 8.875 ring gear. Eaton has a good reputation with their clutch type limited slip carrier. They also have a helical gear limited slip that seems to work well. Timken is the bearing of choice because they are made in the US, but they are making a lower cost line that is made off shore, so be careful with your selection. Axel choice is up to your needs, I run moser. What are your plans for your ride?
ClassicJJ
I want to make keep it a daily but kind of a beginner level street/strip car as well. honestly I just want to prove to my tuner friends that classic muscle is the best way to go. Mike 57
Seems like Dave's parts list would be a good way to go for your application.
Wv Wild 72 Monte
I agree with Dave. I got everything from Randys for my 12 bolt. Posi,3.73's, axles, everything and not a bad price too.
