farmall
Hey guys, I am getting ready to do a disc brake conversion on the rear of my 72 and will have to remove the rear end cover. What oil should I use when reassembly? Anything else I should check for while in there? Thanks.
footballubet
You could go with the standard 90w gear lube or jump up to a synthetic lube. If you have a posi remember to put in the additive.
cbolt
Which disk brake conversion kit are you going to install? I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a disk brake conversion kit and wondered which one you chose.

72jrfan88
I also heard amsoil "severe gear" is a great lubricant for the rear ends on our cars.
cbolt
The summit kit is the one I was looking at too. The instructions seem pretty straightforward and I have all the necessary tools to do the job. Now I just have to sweet-talk the missus into spending MORE money on the Monte this year....
