Canuck
I am upgrading the sound system in my 70 Monte from the AM radio with single speaker to a modern unit in the glove box with 4 speakers. Rather than hunt down a stereo dash pad I'd like to try installing 2 speakers in the centre of the dash where my existing speaker grill is. I'm trying to keep the car looking stock even using stock speaker grills in the rear. I'm thinking of maybe getting two 4 inch or two 5 inch speakers and mount them where the factory single 6x9 was in the dash. Has anyone done this? Leghome
The only draw back would be losing the stereo effect by not being able to here the two different sounds coming from opposite sides of the car unless you split the sounds between front and and and not side to side.
