Rim advise.. Looking for side Pictures - 17 & 18 inch rims

Looking for side Pictures of Monte's with -17 & 18 inch rims . I have 15 x 8 Rally's that are black with baby moons and 245-60-15 tires. I can adjust the car height I have adjustable shocks. I am debating between the old school Z28 5 spoke with trim ring rims  a guy has a set of 15x8 that are 4.5 backspacing.  Or if I should wait and go with a 17 or 18 inch rim's? There is an old school Z28 5 spoke inch version Aluminum but only comes in gray from Year One. If I stick with the 15s I will need tire's that are wider as I am all over the place, which is fun, but need a little more traction. Attached Pic's of how she looks now.

Thanks

I had a set of 17 x 11's on the rear of my 1970 Chevelle and 17 x 8.5 on the front. They had 335-35-17's on the back and 275-40-17's on the front. The rears had 6.26 offset

and I had the same type of wheels on the 1970 Convertible Monte in a 17 x 10 on the rear and 17 x 8 on the front with 275-40-17's all around and a 5.75 offset on the rear.

Both were Centerline Scorpion Wheels and drove awesome and smooth with Eagle ZR rated tires.

Give me a day or 2 and I will post some pics.   I just ordered a 17 x 7 w/ 4" backspace and 18 x 8 w/ 4.5 backspace.  Tire sizes are 225/50-17 (approx 26" tall x approx 9" wide fronts with 255/45-18 (27" tall x 10.16 wide) rears.  I have the Corvette 8" w/ 4" backspace currently with 255/60-15 (27" tall x 10.5 widel) fronts and 275/60-15 (28" tall x 11" wide).

I was trying to keep as close to original height tires (G78-15) which is hard to do if you want some width. I loved the look of the Corvette Rally's but would have had to jack it higher in the rear. The combination I ordered will allow me to keep the same stance.

Wheel selection is different from what I have seen on our site and is new to the market within the last 2 months.  Hopefully I will still like them when they are on the car!!!

Hey Tim, welcome to the club nice to see you posting... just giving you a heads up... the 255-60-15's are 25.6 tall not 27.0 and our Factory Tire size was available in two sizes normally a G70 but you could get the G78 if your monte had the whitewall tires as they came in the G78  The Wide Ovals came in a G70. The G70 equals a 225-70-15 which is 27.0 tall and close to Factory at 27.4 tall.. the G78 was 27.7 tall and really narrow being a 215-75-15 .

Tim do you have a picture with the Corvette 8 inch and the  255/60-15? I would still like to see the new tires and rim's you get as well. I am still considering the Z28 15 inch rims. They said they are 8 inch with  4.5 inch's of backspace but I would still need bigger and or wider tires and I like the white letters.  So many options.  For me it helps when I see how it looks. One of the guys at work Photoshoped my car with 20's. funny thing is it actually dosen't look bad.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate it...

Just throwin this out there, must be like 24" or so :) LOL

Not sure what the function is, maybe so no one car park close enough to you to give you a door ding?

Or maybe something less formal but sportier :)

Come on Alan, are you sure 18's are your limit?

Everybody loves these...  :D

Sno-  Be sure that 20's will give you the look that your after;  I don't think that your friend's photo-shopped rendering was quite to scale...  I think that those wheels would rather be 18's in the pic, as mine below are only 17s:

This is gonna be tricky.  I like the look and the stance of the Car now but I don't like the rims all that much. I want the back tires to be wide like Darren's picture above on the chevelle from the back. I like the Z28/Camaro 5-spoke wheel but I would want it in Black. Year one makes the 5 Spoke Cast Aluminum rim but it is Gunmetal Grey so I would probably want to paint them black down the road. I found a set of Stock 15 inch Z28/Camaro 5-spoke with trim rings the guy said are 8 inch wide and 4.5 backspace but don't know what size tire I could fit on the back with those 15 inch rims. I was also looking at the 86 ish Monte Carlo N90 rim in 17 Inch but would have to see it on the car. I do like the REV 106 also. Here's some pictures of the rims I am thinking of.

I missed the post where you asked for pics of the Corvette Rally's.  These are Corvette (AZ) wheels 4" backspace 8" wide.  Fronts are 255-60-15 and rears are 275-60-15.

The last picture is with the new wheels and tires 17 x 7 4" backspace 225-50-17 and 18 x 8 rears 4.5" backspace 255-45-18.
