MCfan
Chris, I have a wiring diagram manual for the '70 Monte. I have taken a photo of each of the 14 pages that I can send you if you give me an email address. I will attach a couple of the photos here, but they may not be large enough to see what you need. I'm really not sure they cover the heater controls that you are looking for. Here are some of the more likely of the 14 pages:
ChrisM
Dennis, thank you, my email is chrismunro56@gmail.com, I will look through some of these here aswell thank you. Also, I see on one of the diagrams, it shows one vacuum line, would you happen to have a diagram for vacuum line locations aswell?
ChrisM
Thank to Dennis for all of the pictures!! One last question for this I promise haha, has anyone done an ac delete if so, how did it all workout? The car I have had ac but I have deleted it, I have a few dashes with and without actually controls, do I need to change the heater box? Thanks
monte70car
If you do the AC delete keep the controls as it still works with the heat and the vent. When I did a AC delete panel for my 70 I left everything in the dash so it looked stock. When I did the factory style non-air I did away with the center vent and put the block off plate in its place. My 72 has a smooth firewall but the air and heat controls are in the dash nothing hooked up to it or the three vents.
ChrisM
Thanks Robert. So I have bought the delete cover from opgi, I installed that with the blower motor, now for the blower motor resistor, do you have to make your own hole in the ac delete box? Because mine has no hole for it. Which center vent are you referring to? The door in the heater box that sat behind the ac unit? And when you say the three vents, which three vents? I am just trying to get heat into the cabin in one way or another. Sorry for all the questions, and thank you for your help!
monte70car
For the delete cover you have to drill a hole enough to get the coils into the box. Remember to pull the old one off the A/c box as they don't carry one in the reproduction world Here is the center vent that sits above the a/c and heat control panel This is the plate that replaces the vent Vents in dash drivers side vent in dash passenger side vent center dash vent lap vent under the glove box lap vent under the steering column So on a air car you have a total of 5 vents. What I did was left all five vents hooked to the inside box this giving option on where I wanted the heat to blow. On a true non-air car you only have the two side dash vents plus vents in the kick panel those vents have to be manual open via the kick panel. Heat on those only blow out on the floor.
