71MonteCarloMD
When my son and I removed left side (driver) fender, we found this wire as we couldnt find any possible connection, does anyone know from pictures?

71MonteCarloMD
Where would I find the proportion valve?
monte70car
The proportion valve is on the inside of the frame towards the motor and trans. The wire will turn the brake light on at the dash if there was an issue.
bigtankjones
That's what I was gonna say to was the brake proportioning valve.
71MonteCarloMD
Ert and Tony, thanks and do you have a picture where it is as I am not sure if previous owner removed it? Rick
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
The factory proportioning valve location is on the inside of the frame on drivers side (location near/across from oil filter). See pic. Doug .
monte70car
Best way to find it trace the brake line front the master cylinder down as it ties to the top. Or you can trace the line from the driver side wheel to the valve as it ties to the front.
