1970mcss
I'm replacing the rubber fuel line from the pump to the carb with a stainless line. Does anyone have any pictures how the line runs behind the alternator/water pump. It looks like to me that the line should run between the block and the water pump but not sure. I'm working on a big block...any help would be great.
Leghome
On my small block I ran it around the alternator by carefully bending it with end wrenches. No tubing bender at the time. it looks good and worked out great. I really do not know the layout of everything on a BBC though.
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
Here is how I did mine from rubber to steel from Fuel Pump to Carb on a 402 BB. I went between Alternator & Water Pump in my routing. Of course I fashioned the Hard Plumbing myself and is comparable to original routing if that's what your asking.. Leghome
Mine looks very similar to what you have Doug. Did you have to curve around the alternator?

When I brought it up through, it was pretty much a straight shot. I think any adjustment if made was done at the bottom for alignment. monte70car
This is the best I can do for my line routing. It comes out of the fuel pump and runs behind the water pump. It came per-bent. The bend at the intake is to get back to the inlet of the Q-jet that's hiding under the air cleaner.
