Phil,

Vacuum problems suck laugh ....Sorry I can't help you but I couldn't resist a little play on words joke. I am sure someone will be able to assist you. Just a question though, don't some of the cars have a small vacuum reserve canister... Not really sure that is what it is called but I thought there was something like that over near the air conditioning box on the firewall.

I take it you have a big cam

 

they make a hydraulic brake booster kit that runs off your power steering pump (I'll look for a link later)

 

an electric vacuum pump is another option...I'm using one from a 80's "X" body, along with a vacuum can for a reservoir

 

 

at wideopen throttle at the big end, you shouldn't have vacuum

 

what's your vacuum at idle?

Here's a little info on the motor that may help you help me. It took me 3 months to put this combo together so that I made sure it all would work together.
