i drove to summit and bought the TCI street fighter series trans.

2000 stall b&m converter.

i said what the heck , at least it will be reliable.

not cheap but hopefully worth it.

Hey Bob, I mentioned Cottman transmission did mine at the gathering last Saturday, I don't remember if it was to you or someone else.

I had mine done in North Royalton, I see there is one in Brunswick also. I don't know if I lucked out but the guy who did mine (I think he does all their high performance work) loved his job to the point I have never met someone like him before. I knew I was in the right place when I walked in and they had a wall full of photos of classic cars, hot rods, etc. that they have worked on.

i just could not wait ,the weather is so nice .

i am going to put it in tomarrow and cruise it the rest of the weekend.

The guy that does mine here in Akron will build you a good reliable piece if you are looking for some one.He does mine and 99% of the time i only pull it for freshening up.He builds 200r's for GN's and I think is reasonably priced.Just throwing that out to you Bob.

i wish i had an answer.

it was an old used trans

i was just cruising[ not trying to do anything hard on the drivetrain].

oh well i guess it was for the best, it happened close to home.

I was just cruising when I smoked my trans...

I was JUST crusing when I dropped a valve.. LOL!! j/k

 

actully, I was just cruising when all my major failures happened.. i dont' ever seem to break anythign when i'm beating on it :P~

i blew my t400 in my 69 gto 6 months after i built it the 3 time from 3 differnt builders the 3 time i used a king of the hill builder to build it. i went with everything beefed with a tci converter but i was running a torque monster 455 pontiac with edlbrock heads
