Grant MacPherson
Is there anyway to calibrate the temp gauge? Or just replace the sending unit first and then the gauge if that doen't work? I am running about 20 degrees to hot. Thanks
Searsman
When I worked on electronics some meters “ or gauges” did have zero or calibration screws located usually on the back of the gauge. Would depend on the type and brand. . I can’t access mine now but I don’t think the Monte gauges do. I would borrow ,or buy, a laser temp meter from local auto parts place and see what the engine temperature really is running...they aren’t that expensive, I have one I use...may have to go online to get one also... then if your interior gauge is off start with the sending unit. Simply because it’s the easiest to replace if your gauges are built In .. hope this helps...
DragCat
You can usually find the laser temp on sale at HF for 20/25 bucks. I'll agree with Ron replace the sender first
