Spark plugs

I have always used the autolite 26 regular plugs in my car with few problems other than one fouling out ( which isn't the plugs fault) I see they offer a platinum plug now, is there any advantage to using platinum plugs other than they last longer? They aren't that much more expensive.

I'm certainly no expert, but I would think if you have one that tends to foul, it's going to foul regardless. I'm sure others will chime in.

Oh yea that I know but I'll deal with that down the road, probably valve seal and guides I assume.  But was just wondering if there's any advantage.  I did research on it just wanted maybe some other opinions.

So I test fit the new headers to the new heads and they are going to work alright so I'm thinking after the swap I'll use the platinum plugs just because it going to be more difficult to change the plugs and I won't have to change them as often. See I do think once in a while 🤣 contrary to what I've been told. Gonna be a while before it happens still have a few parts to collect before the swap over.

i switched over to NKG UR4-6630 plugs.  They are about 3/8" shorter than the AC R45TS I had been using making it easier to change #6 plug with my Hooker Headers. Also #2 and #7 had been fouling badly and with the NKG's not so much

I think its Accel that makes the shorty plugs that work well with my headers. They are available through Amazon and other places as well.
