Guest SLICK Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 im planning on pulling the moulding off the bottom of my car this weekend and cleaning it up. i was gonna polish it but then i got to thinking... from the factory was it polished or brushed? and is the black paint semi gloss or flat? thanks! Guest SLICK Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 thanks i love polishing stuff! i took my rear bumber off last night and polished years of grime and overspray off of it. i thought it was in pretty bad shape but it looks like new now... except for the couple of dents in it. Canuck Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 For the paint, I used something called "trim paint" by Plasti Kote. It was a semi gloss black that is supposed to be better at bonding to stainless steel/chrome than regular paint. I painted the trim 10 years ago and it has held up really well.
